About this country house rental
So close to the local wineries, breweries and hiking trails! Charming country home for large groups, sleeps 10-12. Acres of rolling green pastures with gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountain views. Black Angus cows grazing in 60 acre pasture. Carrots provided to feed the friendly donkeys. Enjoy the evenings sitting around the crackling firepit & eating s'mores. Hiking trails abound & on-site fishing pond. Your days are filled with activites -- wineries, hiking, historic sightseeing (Monticello, Montpelier), golfing or exploring antique shops. Your evenings can be home cooked meals in fully stocked kitchen, catered meals delivered or dining out at the various local restaurants in Madison, Gordonsville or Charlottesville. Game room is great for families and gaming. Come back to the Manor House and savor a bottle of local wine while sitting around the stone fire pit with a home-cooked s'more under the vastness of the openess and stars. Eat-in kitchen.

The best positive comment I can make is if asked, “would you stay again?”, my answer is absolutely! Perfect location providing a respite from everyday life. Plenty of space for two families with teens and plenty of outdoor activities nearby. We were able to easily make and reheat Thanksgiving dinner followed by s’mores and football in the backyard. Loved every minute.

Lovely home and awesome farm.We cooked a number of meals in the kitchen. It would be nice if there was just a bit more in cooking essentials such as sugar. All in all , excellent.

The host is absolutely fantastic. The farm house was perfect for our wedding weekend in Orange. The house quite simply is a home the minute you walk in. Sunrise coffee with the cows and listening to the night time wildlife around the firepit made for a most enjoyable but long day. Come and see this place for youself and enjoy.

Gorgeous home and property... cookies and muffins left to welcome us on our visit as well as a bottle of champagne to celebrate my wife's 40th... would stay here again for sure...
