La casa di Porto Rosso

We booked this apartment for a family of 5 for five days in July. The apartment was spacious and had very effective air-conditioning. Not immediately obvious from the listing, but the apartment has two balconies - one facing the sea and one facing the street. It was nice to use both depending the sun orientation - sea facing gets sun in the morning, the other in the afternoon. The location is fantastic - very short walk to Porto Rosso beach and local restaurants and the centre of Monopoli old town is a lovely walk along the sea front for about 15-20mins. Free parking is available on the street outside the apartment.

Kitchen doesn't have a dishwasher. A/C discharges condensate water into containers on the balconies which need to be emptied daily which is a minor inconvenience.

Very spacious bedrooms and living room (unusual for rentals on booking.com), two balconies, washing machine, free beaches just around the corner, supermarkets in walking distance, nearby restaurants.

Only one shower was usable (no screen or curtain on the other) and the usable one was in the tiny add-on bathroom with strange door, window opening into shower, loo roll holder behind the user's head. Most of the power sockets didn't work (at least not with our adapters), no bedside lighting in any of the bedrooms, not enough seating in the living room. The only knives in the kitchen were steak knives (!)

Apartamento gostoso, bem arejado, novo, recepção da anfitriã é perfeita, muito atenciosa nos detalhes. Amenidades úteis à nossa estadia. Visual da praia. Fui agraciada por ver uma queima de fogos e tive visão privilegiada. Amei todos os detalhes. Perto de vários restaurantes ótimos e ponto estratégico para vários passeios.

It was very well equipped for our 1 week stay. Great location - many beaches close to home! And old town was also 20 min by foot! It was spacious enough for our group of 6 people. Also, we all agreed that the apartment was exceptionally clean! AC was very much appreciated during this summer heat. Our hostess was amazing ! Such kindness and hospitality.
