Porta del Mare Apartment Sea and city life

I stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment which was extremely well maintained. The apartment was spotless and extremely well equipped to include everything one would want, even a sun parasol to use at the beach. It was all the little extras that made this apartment so special. The proximity to the beach and the hub of Monopoli was perfect, all within a short walk including a supermarket with everything you would need. The fresh fruit was excellent. It was so quiet at night and with such comfortable beds I have never slept so well.

Nothing. Extremely good value for money but as an upper floor apartment you do have a number of steps to climb which unless you have a medical condition is not an issue.

This is a great apartment, excellently located within 5 minute walks into the historical centre. Our flight was extremely delayed which meant we wouldn't make it to the property until 1am. Thankfully, this was not a problem and the friendly staff still met us and let us into the apartment. There is plenty of room in this property, and the property is quiet at night. We really loved having breakfast on the balcony every morning. We will be back!

Check out is slighlty early. Whilst the airconditioning is brilliant in this property, it does turn off when you leave the property. This meant every time we came back to the apartment it was very hot for a good while. In addition, the washing machine and dishwasher also turn off when you leave the apartment which meant our clothes were still wet when we had to leave. But none of this takes away from the fact this apartment is a great find!

The property was like new and the owner was lovely as he even gave us a lift to the train station on the day we left. We were walking distance to the old town and beach.

There was nothing to not like.

This property had everything we needed, including a terrific host who was very responsive! Coming into the apartment was easy, Beniamino met us at the door and helped us bring our luggage up. He helped with where to park and how to navigate the city, as well as plenty of restaurant recommendations. Best of all is the location: a 1 minute walk to the old town, but quiet and peaceful at night. The apartment is beautiful, with powerful AC in the living and bedroom areas. Huge refrigerator, everything we needed to cook, explore, work, and get a good nights sleep. The bed is a little hard at first, but it's a memory foam so takes a few minutes to soften up. Pantry was stocked with needed items and coffee, Washing machine and dishwasher. Loved the balcony, but it was a bit hot to be outside for long.

The pillows were a bit flat, so we bought two more (and left them in the cabinet), and hanging space would have been nice since there is so much room in the bedroom for one rather than using a few hooks on the wall. The lighting in the main room is way to harsh at night, so I agree with past comments that a lamp or lower wattage bulb would help.
