River View - Stunning Garden Flat w Free Parking - Pass the Keys

A lovely little flat , amazing location, nice relaxing garden - lovely layout and overall absolutely loved the property and location. Appliances were very good , couldn’t fault the property layout or amenities.

Unfortunately the property wasn’t clean when we arrived (lots of human hair & dirt on the floors) bins containing human hair and rubbish and just overall unclean. The rugs had a certain stench to them and the sofa and arm chair felt dirty / built up residues. The dining table chairs also had marks and dirt on them. I did spend a few hours cleaning the property,washing the bedding on my first day and once the property had been cleaned it felt 100% better and I was feeling more comfortable there, I got some throws for the sofas and chairs to put a clean barrier between myself and the fabric and put the rugs away once that was done the property became 9/10 so my only complaint is purely the cleanliness - a few new rugs, a deep clean and a new sofa and arm chair the property would easily be 10/10 and not only a property that people would enjoy staying at but somewhere they would love to return to.

Location was great for walking into Rye (5mins). It was on a busy road with a lot of traffic noise. This did quieten down later evening. It was good to have a parking space. Flat was warm and clean, with everything needed for a stay.

Floorboards were very creaky. The beds were not particularly comfortable and the one in the upstairs room was noisy every time you moved. Toilet in downstairs bathroom wasn't properly bolted to the floor. Just felt it was all a bit shabby and in need of some work

The property was lovely and spacious. The property being on the ground floor was great due to my son being disabled. The tea, coffee,sugar and orange juice, milk and chocolate tea cakes was a lovely gesture. Thank you

The sink in the upstairs bathroom did not flow the water away, it might be blocked. There was a liquid on the door in the bathroom upstairs that I cleaned off the door and the rug in the living room had not been hovered due to tiny star shaped leaves imbedded in the rug. We went to sit in the little garden but noticed a lot of wasps going in and out of the roof of the side of the property. We then decided to come back into the property and close the doors.

It has two bathrooms. There’s free easy parking available (which is hard in Rye). Location is very good and walkable to the city centre.

There’s an additional process after booking where you either pay £40 insurance or have a deposit held against your card- it was an unexpected extra cost. The house is a bit dated and in need of some minor repairs. There’s a decent garden outside but really overgrown.
