Retiro do Sol

Appartement spacieux bien agencé, qui dispose de tout ce dont on a besoin… rénové il y’a peu… facilité pour se garer… Centre ville à 5 minutes à pied, les plages sont a 10-15 minutes à pied ou facilement accessible en voiture

We were allowed to check in at 14.30 which was earlier than the 16.00 stated time and Fernando met us at the property. He went through the facilities within the apartment and also advised us of nice restaurants nearby, where to park locally, how to get to the beach etc and was extremely friendly and helpful. The apartment was absolutely spotless and in excellent condition. The location was brilliant, about 10 minutes walk from restaurants in the old part of town and about 15 minutes walk to the nearest beaches. The walk to the beach takes you through the local park which is opposite the apartment. There was plenty of local parking and to drive to the local Lidl for supplies was 5 minutes.

The local beaches are lovely and the small coves are linked by tunnels through the cliffs. One small disappointment was that they suffer from 'Brown Seaweed' which apparently has arrived from Japan and Korea and is causing an issue with the eco system. Although this doesn't prevent you from swimming it is unsightly and is not only in the water but also on the beaches. The local council/government are trying to come up with a solution to the problem which I hope they manage to. Lagos is still very beautiful and well worth a visit.

Wonderful stay at Retiro do Sol. Excellently located in a quiet area but still very accessible to Lagos. The property is very safe and secure and we felt very comfortable walking back here at night. The location is super. Car parking is not as issue, we did not have a car but we were shown the car parking areas by the host. The decor is wonderful and the kitchen is very well equipped for a short or even long term stay. The host was very friendly and accommodating. I would recommend this property to anyone considering it.

Appartement très confortable, bien équipé (micro-ondes, lave-linge) avec vue sur les murailles de la vieille ville. Deux belles chambres, une grande cuisine et un salon très agréable. Climatisation / chauffage dans toutes les pièces. Très propre. Le propriétaire est très gentiment venu nous accueillir et nous faire découvrir l'appartement. Stationnement facile (dans la rue) aux abords immédiats, mais nous étions en avril. Grand Intermarché très bien achalandé à moins de 10 min à pied et 3 min en voiture.

Tout petit balcon, aucun problème pour nous (voyage début avril), mais pourrait être gênant l'été. Placards de la cuisine totalement vides, dommage de ne pas prévoir quelques petits éléments essentiels à l'arrivée, type huile, dose de lessive ou dosette de café.
