Lack of private parking.

This is difficult for me to rate. The apartment was OK. It’s a fourth floor walk up. The neighborhood is a bit sketchy, but the apartment building has a guard. It is a very small apartment, but has most everything you’d need. The bed is very firm. The cleaning lady comes 3x a week. Everything was shut off when I got here, so the fridge really smelled. In the 2 weeks I was here the water was out twice (about an hour each time), the electricity needed repare (about 8 hours and poor communication from owner) and the WiFi stopped working the evening before I left. Not great, but you get what you pay for. There are small things that need attention at the apartment like nicks , a loose toilet seat, no toilet paper and the rug needs cleaning.

My real issue was with the owner. I booked a 4 week stay, in two segments. As we were coming to the end of the first 2wk segment, the owner said she would cancel my 2nd stay and I could pay her directly. When she couldn’t cancel, she told me she would mark me a “no show.” Since this affects my standing with Booking.com, I asked her not to do this. I felt we had an agreement and I just wanted to stick with it. Next, she asked me to “pretend” to cancel my booking, but stay in the apartment and pay her directly, thus avoiding the Booking.com commission. When I said I felt this was unfair and wouldn’t do it, she asked me to leave. Also, the description says you can pay on arrival, but I was asked for money weeks BEFORE I came, deposited directly into her bank account. I refused. Owner unable to take a credit card and paying by cash was a hassle as there wasn’t anyone to give the money to.
