Stonecutter's Cottage

Lovely cottage property, clean rooms and kitchen. Very comfortable and homely. Living and dining room are quite dated, though we foubd it quite charming. It does have what seem to be newly modernised decorated bed and bathrooms upstairs with comfortable beds. Fantastic view from the front windows with access to a front and back garden. All things you would need were available in the kitchen to make meals. There is private off road parking which was great, as the spaces not assigned fill up quickly. Overall we had a very pleasant stay. Thank you!

There is a nice garden in the front, but could do with some tlc, as a little overgrown and had some shrubbery that had thorns that are in the walk area from the steps up to the door. The fridge is in a separate room from the kitchen which isn't too much of an inconvenience and understand with the size of kitchen it made sense to have it where it was. The only issue was the bin waste area shared with the adjoining cottage, that also had access to the area. The recycling bins were overflowing and the was an unpleasant smell when going in. The property is raised up from the road, it has steep steps up which are not suitable for those who struggle with steps, though there is a sloping ramp up to the house the opposite side of the front door. A member of the family struggles with walking so, was a struggle for them, so only noting for anyone who has a memeber of their party that may also struggle or those wiith small children in prams.

loved the view! spectacular sunsets. great food nearby. so good to have a nice quiet, peaceful place to come home to after sightseeing all day. great access to highway for easy access to so many fantastic sites.

wifi didn't work on arrival but the host got that fixed quickly

Beautiful place, good value, very clean and cozy.

Maybe would be nice if the check out is a little bit latter that most of other accommodations (11:00am - 12:00) currently the check out time is 10am.

Loved it. Clean, comfortable and in a stunning location with wonderful views. A local pub is less than 5 mins drive away (albeit up a relatively steep hill) which served great, home cooked food. The beds were super comfortable with a bath/shower room on the first floor and an ensuite on the top floor. I would happily stay here again. the kitchen is small but has everything you could possibly need. And the water pressure is amazing! The check-in instructions were simple and worked. This is such a cosy cottage. We all loved our stay.

A welcome pack suggesting local landmarks / things to do would have been nice, especially some instructions on what to do with the rubbish and recycling. Lots of steps. I wouldn't recommend this property to people with mobility issues. Also there was no WiFi, and the property is advertised as having WiFi. Luckily the mobile reception in the property is good so we could use our mobile data, but if there isn't WiFi, the property details should be updated accordingly. However, none of these were major issues and we didn't enjoy our stay any less because of it.
