The Hideout

Very good location, just off the high street. Quiet sitting out area with table and chairs. Apartment was nicely equipped, with a generous welcome pack. Bed was extremely comfortable. Several pubs and eateries in easy walking distance in Oakham. As the weather was so hot, we searched out pubs with shady gardens. The Wheatsheaf and The Admiral Hornblower were favourites. The main reason for our visit was to go to the Rutland Flower Show. We had a three day ticket, just in case of the weather being inclement, but the days were all hot and sunny and the show was very impressive! Loved Oakham with free amenities such as the Castle and the very interesting museum. All close by. Would visit again.

Having seen the forecast we added a parasol to the list! We thought we might have to buy a stand, but the outdoor table was made to take a parasol. Just as well, as the garden it is a sun trap. Had a slight problem on arrival having not read the full instructions. We thought the access was through The Maltings entrance. As soon as we looked at it we realised this couldn't be correct. Rereading the info we drove to the end of the street and turned into the back of the development where the parking space actually is.

The Hideout is an excellent base for exploring Oakham and the wider area. It was spotlessly clean, the decor is lovely with lots of nice touches. The beds were very comfortable. The hosts were great, checking we had got in OK and everything was to our liking. The generous welcome basket of goodies was much appreciated. The dedicated parking place at the rear is a big bonus as nearby on street/public parking is limited. We'll definitely stop again when we next visit the area.

Location superb, near to all facilities in the town. Property was spotless and well equipped with everything we needed. It was spacious, warm and very well decorated. Nearby parking space was ideal. The welcome pack was very thoughtful.

Loved the character of the flat and its facilities and decor! It has a great location in Oakham. Plenty of brilliant places to visit in the area. The owners really looked after us with amazing communication and attention to detail. Thank you!
