A wonderful venue for exploring Rutland Water and the surround villages.
Excellent location - walkable to most of Oakham. On a quiet road which has restaurants and boutique shops along it. A very spacious apartment. It is warm and luxuriously furnished. It was an absolute joy to be there.

Even better than expected
The apartment at The Maltings was absolutely perfect and the best equipped property I have ever stayed in. The hosts had thought of everything. It was cosy and comfortable and I was made to feel so welcome. Hosts were very responsive. The apartment was ideally located, with everything I needed within walking distance. I wanted for nothing. I would definitely recommend this property and am already talking about visiting again.
There is a staircase outside. Other reviews have mentioned it not looking very enticing as you arrive but I don't feel the same - I think it is fine and the stairs are simply a necessity. There are a few little unexpected steps inside the flat too but they are reasonably well lit with motion sensor lights. You just need to stay a little aware of them. Again not a major issue at all.
