Ipoh City Centre 八角楼 OCTAGON Homestay - 2 mins walking to famous food & 15 mins to Old Town Ipoh by Happy Homestay

The apartment was on the 14th floor of the Octagon building. We received the key using a code to open the mailbox. At first, I was a little overwhelmed by the amount of check-in information, but the whole process turned out to be very easy. If we had had a car, we could also have parked for free in the car park. The apartment is nicely furnished, very clean and equipped with everything you need, including a fridge, microwave, crockery, Wi-Fi and air conditioning. We only used the A/C in the living room, which kept the apartment pleasantly cool without making it too cold or having air blowing on us all the time. We felt very comfortable during our stay. The Octagon is right in the heart of Chinatown, making it an ideal base for exploring the city. All the main attractions are within easy walking distance, and the central location is a real plus. There are plenty of restaurants just a few steps away. For dinner, we can recommend Sun Yeong Wai and San Tuck Kee. For breakfast, try JLN Theater Cafe, although unfortunately it doesn't open until 10 am.

Near to old town

The mat below the coffee table is too light and is displaced when one move on it.

Great location with convenient access to good food and shops, all within walking distances. The host was very quick to respond to questions and requests. She personally attended to an issue late in the evening, which we greatly appreciated.
