Excellent location, beautiful property, great service from owner. Only comment maybe a shoe rack in hallway, when out walking to put shoes and boots. Will definitely book again.

Village is lovely and the property, though quite compact for 6 people, was good value for money. Might be more comfortable for 4, and would still offer value for money.
Heating in main bathroom was defunct. We were promised a full set of new dish ware that didn't arrive, but wasn't critical. A log burner, dishwasher, microwave, and maybe a little more comfy seating in the lounge area would be great, though space challenges would probably preclude this.

We absolutely loved the location, the village was beautiful. We really enjoyed the cottage, it was very quaint and pretty and it was great dogs were allowed. The beds were really comfortable with lovely sheets and pillows. The house heated up very well and was warm and cosy.
There weren’t any instructions on how to use the oven which we had a few issues with, and the toilet seat upstairs kept slamming down making a noise when everyone is asleep because it’s not fitted properly, plus there are glass panes for the bathroom which isn’t good for privacy. We felt the stay could have been elevated if they included a few more personal touches- a pint of milk, a sponge for dishes / j-cloth, hand soap in the downstairs bathroom, dog bowl for water. Also no one told us the patio was being relaid so we couldn’t let the dogs in the back garden. There were also a few other facilities issues e.g. no mirror in one two of the bedrooms, no chair in the bedroom dressing table. I think it could just do with a little refresh to make it extra comfortable from a guests perspective and it would be good update the folder with the info and put it in a more prominent position as we didn’t see it till the 2nd day after we already found the pub & shop ourselves.

We enjoyed the location it is quiet but we wanted to retreat. The house is set in beautiful grounds we had a layer of snow arrive so that was fun. The house is as very warm and cosy and plenty of space for 6 people on a short break.
Bigger TV needed in the lounge and a TV in the master would be good. It is not equipped for 6 people we were missing cereal bowls, glasses and eggs cups. Which is a shame as they have lots of other equipment in the kitchen. They need to do a full inventory of the house and reorganise the games chest. It’s a bit unkept and needs some TLC. Curtains are so thin it would be struggle in the lighter months.
