Madeira in Fife Luxury Tree Houses & Garden Cottages

The treehouse was in a beautiful and incredibly peaceful location out the back of Pittenweem. We stayed on our wedding night and for an extra night after that as a 'mini moon' and enjoyed the tranquility after the busy wedding week! The wood fire hot tub was lovely, just took a little while to get the fire going and to heat up, but once it was hot, it stayed hot all night. The room was lovely with a very comfy bed, and the kitchen was well equipped for self catering. We overall really enjoyed our stay and the only drawbacks were minor in comparison to the great facilities.

A little extra fire starting equipment would have been useful. Plenty of logs and larger bits of wood, but only a few fire starters which we had to split between the hot tub and the indoor fire place. Could have used some extra cleaning bits such as sponges for doing the dishes and cleaning before check out, also some oil for cooking.

Very clean and cosy. Well equipped. Very quiet and private.

The spiral staircase was a bit scary. We are 76 so maybe a bit old! Didn’t like the stony drive and car parking space. Very rough.

Location, bathtub

Shower drain was blocked. Communication could have been better- the app clearly says you won’t be contacted for further payments, so emails on the deposit were assumed to be scam. It wasn’t clear until you went right into the details it was required to release the access details. Voice message re access to the property at 3.30 wasn’t answered until 9.30pm.

It was small enough for us and comfortable, we enjoyed our stay
