Das Appartement war in einer sehr guten Lage im noblerem Stadtviertel von Palermo. Die bekannte Geschäftsstraße im Stadtzentrum war in 5 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Restaurants ebenfalls. Im Haus fühlte man sich sicher: überwachter Eingangsbereich.

Die Sauberkeit in der Küche und von den Küchengeräten hätte besser sein können. Der Wohnbereich war sehr klein, dafür hatten die Schlafzimmer eine gute Größe.

Świetna lokalizacja apartamentu w bardzo bliskiej odległości znajduje się sklep, a dojście do głównej ulicy zajmuje zaledwie 2–3 minuty. Dodatkowo otrzymałem możliwość późniejszego wymeldowania po 15:00, co było bardzo pomocne i na plus dla gospodarza. Miejsce wygodne jako baza wypadowa po okolicach Palermo.

Alloggio davvero perfetto! Posizione ideale per visitare Palermo, appartamento in contesto signorile, pulitissimo, curato e molto confortevole. Le camere sono spaziose e i letti comodissimi. Ospitalità impeccabile, con comunicazione chiara e veloce. Un posto in cui ci si sente subito a casa. Consigliatissimo!

This is a new property on the B&B market, so everything is fresh and new. The host lives just next door (the property is a cutout of her own flat) and was extremely accommodating for our anticipated check-in time, showing us around and giving us pointers. The furniture is modern, with some more classic touches, a few Palermo-related books (mainly in Italian) and some Oriental pictures (which I would replace with local views, but it's a matter of personal taste). The bathrooms are fully functional, very well illuminated, brand-new (up to the cellophane wrap on the inox parts of some pieces of the suite) and include all comforts with spacious walk-in showers. Despite being located on a busy road, the apartment is oriented towards the rear side of the building, so it is quieter and looks over the magnificent Art-Nouveau Villa Bordonaro. The location is most convenient, just a few steps from Piazza Croci (with access to the main city bus routes), Via Liberta' with its shops, the beautiful Giardino Inglese and the splendid gardens of Villa Trabia.

Despite the great effort, there are elements that need mentioning, some within the host's control, some others less controllable. Having just started, some needs may not have arisen yet, so we didn't find items that you would consider standard: a microwave oven is definitely needed, for example, especially when the guests have small kids asking for a cup of warm milk or cocoa all the time. Cups/mugs of a more generous size would be another investment to consider. There are clothes racks available, but few hangers; and despite there being a secondary rack high up under the ceiling (in both rooms), you won't be able to use it because there is no hook pole. The weather in Palermo is exceptionally mild, so you are unlikely to need a cover or a duvet until December, but if you were to look for one, there are none (I know, one could ask). The lighting may need looking at, as a less than convinced push on the switches will produce an interesting "disco" effect. All these are fixable things, and I am sure guests will find that many of these items have been addressed after this review. What will be less easy to address is the noise. Most of the flat in the building have massive safety entrance doors, which are constantly and mercilessly slammed at every hour, day and night. The walls seem to be cardboard thin, so you may hear conversations/TVs on the other side. The lifts (there's two of them, one next to the other) also have their own internal and external doors, which again produce their fair share of noise when used carelessly by the other residents of the building (which seem to be fairly often!). If you are outside all the time and sleep like a log it's not an issue, but don't ask my wife who jumps up at the smallest noise!
