An Absolute Gem in Jaipur – Safe, Delicious, and Beautiful

We were absolutely delighted with our stay at Jaipur The Lodge B&B! From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly safe and welcomed. It truly felt like a home away from home. The entire staff is wonderful—so kind, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. However, a special shout-out must go to the manager, Goro. He was simply amazing! Not only is he a fantastic host, but he is also a gifted cook. He prepared the most incredible meals for us—whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, everything was cooked to perfection and customized exactly to our wishes. Do not miss his cooking! The cherry on top was definitely the rooftop. Spending the evenings there, watching the city lights and taking in the beautiful view of Jaipur, was magical. We left feeling refreshed and so happy we chose this place. Highly recommended!

- very friendly staff and the owner/manager - super clean room and bed sheets as well - nice working shower with hot water - openable windows - nice common area on the top floor and terrace - room was even nicer than on the pictures - some good breakfast options, plus they can cook for you some food and provide drinks on the top floor

- some hangers on the wall would be great - add bed reading lamps - change light bulbs to warm white

Reviews Cool chilled oasis in the heart of the Pink City This was our second stop at the start of our 3 month trip around India (after foggy Delhi) and we loved it. This place is brilliant. Location fab! A few minutes walk through the bazaars to City Palace, Jantar Mantar and Hawa Mahal. Bustling vibrant (safe) streets full of action, shops selling everything right on the doorstep of this friendly guest house. Rooms were clean, big and comfortable- ours 503 had a great view over the city. Up on the roof is a fabulous restaurant with a terrace - with a great view over the city and up to Amber Fort. There’s a very sociable vibe up here- travellers sharing adventures (over a beer), swapping stories and enjoying our host’s excellent cooking. The pumpkin curry was to die for. Each night we devoured “food cooked from the heart” freshly prepped that day so each meal was different. Breakfast is a choice - either Indian (paratha and pickles with curd) or omelette and fresh fruit. I loved the “paw paw” / papaya each morning and the masala tea. If you’re looking for an easy going relaxed place in beautiful Jaipur, come here. Highly recommend!

Feels like home — the most wonderful host!

Staying here was an unforgettable experience because of the host. He is so warm, kind, and genuinely caring that it felt like visiting a close friend rather than staying in a hotel. From the moment I arrived, he helped with everything and made sure I felt completely comfortable. He is also an amazing chef — the food he prepares on the rooftop café is absolutely delicious and made with so much love. My only regret is that I couldn’t try the Indian wine that Gaurav, our perfect chef and friend, recommended. This place has a special soul because of him. I would come back just for the host alone. Highly, highly recommended!

Great! - Clean, central and welcoming...

Central, quiet and recently renovated. The rooms are clean, light and spacious, the bathrooms have constant hot water, the city view from the rooftop is great, the food is good, the staff are polite and the owner makes guests feel welcome and at home. The central location is perfect for doing most of the sights and bazars on foot, the neighbourhood feels very safe and the tuktuk drivers have lots of local knowledge to share with both tourists and people working in textiles.

Good, but you could expect a little more for the money

Good location, clean room, nice rooftop terrace to sit. Laundry and tuktuk services were good. Bed was quite comfortable.

The rooftop terrace is definitely a missed opportunity. Its a nice sitting area, but there is no bar or even a self service fridge. It would have been nice to sit there with a cold drink. Breakfast is served there too. There is omelette, poha or paratha, but unfortunately the cook didn't speak English, the food took a long while to prepare and it wasn't very good. AC and TV didn't work, which was no problem for us.

Excellent and heartwarming!

I enjoyed my stay in Jaipur the Lodge B&B very much! Clean, spacious and comfortable rooms. The staff, the food and the hospitality was amazing. Gaurav, the owner of the hotel is a great person and made me feel at home from the start of my stay. The location is walking distance to City Palace and Hawa Mahal. They also provide city tours with tuktuk drivers or groups with bikes. All in all I enjoyed my stay very much. Highly recommend!

The only slight downside was the traffic noise but if you want to stay near the sightseeing areas you can’t avoid this and the traffic finishes by the evening so you’ll have a good sleep. Just bring earplugs in case you’re a daytime napper.

Nice stay, big room, they helped us organise a one day tuk tuk tour through Jaipur, did our laundry there which was good price and was done on the same day. Close to main sights.

It was a very good pleasant stay at this property.

Location of the property is just perfect in the center of the city, all the shopping markets at walking distance and major tourist places also nearby. The rooms are clean, and the rooftop is best for sunrise view.

The breakfast was not inclusive of the package, if it’s B&B I believe it should be included.

Great stay

Comfortable and spacious room with a great view and a TV. Helpful staff. Check-in was smooth. Both the bedroom and bathroom were very clean.

I would suggest providing more basic toiletries, especially hand soap and shower gel. Only two power points were working, so the others should be fixed, especially those next to the bed.

Disappointing

The location was okay. The rooms initially look very nice. Not the worst cleanliness given the price.

The rooms were to a poor standard after the initial impression. Finish was poor and cleanliness could be improved: lots of hairs in the bathroom and crumbs and a few hair in the bed plus the towels were very stained. The photos are also definitely misleading. Also, we were unequivocally told at check in breakfast was at 8 and by 8:25 when we had to leave there was absolutely no sign of a breakfast. We assume it is not actually provided. No hot water but this seems to be the norm.

Amenities and services met our expectations, and the location was convenient. Overall, we had a pleasant experience and would be happy to return in the future.

The bathroom wasn't very clean, there wasn't a lot of space to keep things. The room seemed a but shabby. The linnen and towels were not clean. But most importantly there were too many misleading pictures on the booking.

Good location to walk to touristic attractions, terrace has nice view of old city, my room was on the fourth floor and was clean and spacious. Fast wifi in my room. Breakfast was good for the price, they let me shower even after my check out prior to heading to the train station in the evening. I found the staff pretty friendly!

Location can feel a bit unsafe at night (although that is more a generalisation about the old city specially if traveling solo).

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, with great attention to detail. The staff was always kind and helpful, making us feel at home from the very beginning. The location is perfect—close to everything yet in a quiet area. And the food was a wonderful. I would definitely recommend this place and would love to stay here again.

Lovely spacious clean room and bathroom. Great service, staff were very accommodating. Lovely rooftop area with breakfast available, had a very nice omelette. Would highly recommend staying here if you want to be located near the busy old town but set off the street to avoid noise at night.

Home away from home

The best place to enjoy Jaipur at a reasonable price. There is a great view from the rooftop terrace, the food is very good and the hotel manager and the stuff are always willing to help. They also arrange a tuktuk which takes you to all sights and bike and walking tours. Many sights and the bazar are in walking distance. Highly recommended!
