The Altitude with Mountain & City Views, Pool & Hot Tub

The Condo was great! We were a family of four with two teenage boys. One got the extra room and the sofa was long enough for a 6'1 18 year old. Kitchen has EVERYTHING you need and a full fridge. Location is fantastic! We went for the World Cup games and walked to the stadium. The place is in a small cul-de-sac and has a pastry place, a Asian Grocery market where you can pick up eggs, milk, bacon, juice, etc.. Walkable to many great restaurants and the China Town sky train stop is literally up the steps and you can get to anywhere downtown in minutes. Lovely dining table and living room with views for days.

So the thing about Vancouver as one that has been many, many times is be prepared for the AC situation. Central AC that is prevalent in the US is not as widely available in Vancouver. The AC is a portable unit that has a plastic duct out the windows. For the majority of the stay it did it's job, and most days we could open the patio door and use the fans but we experienced a heat wave for two days and with being high up (17th floor) and what seemed like single pane windows it got hot even with the portable units. I did appreciate the blackout curtains in the bedrooms which helped. The only other thing we didn't like was the shower/tub combo in the master bedroom. It's a huge oval tub/shower combo which is great if you want to soak but the tub was a bit slick and very tall and with nothing to grab onto to we opt'd to all shower in the hall bathroom as didn't feel as precarious.

City noises, but that is because I’m a country girl!

The building is secure and central to everything. You can walk to the shops e.g Costco, the pharmacy, restaurants & Canada place. It has the best views. It has a washing machine & dryer which is so handy when you're on holiday.

Was a bit noisy at night with people on the streets fighting & screaming

The property had great views and was in a good location. Lots of yummy restaurants close to the complex.

The shower in the ensuite was awkward and a little confusing. There seemed to be a lot if rules. I thought a $250 fine for not taking out the bin was a little excessive. Also $1000 fine for late check out was a lot
