A lovely apartment to stay with friends or as a couple

I travelled with my friend to explore Montenegro by car and we needed a base close to Kotor with a parking spot. Villa Principium is a short drive away from Kotor and is nicely located in a valley overlooking the bay. Our apartment was lovely - we had our own bathroom and a walk-in closet. Everything was clean and the place is quiet and tucked away from traffic so we slept very peacefully. The highlight of our stay was our host. He helped us out with renting a car and was happy to answer any of our questions and provide recommendations for activities. We felt very welcomed here and want to say thanks again for our stay!

Absolutely amazing villa and the most incredible host!

Villa Principium in Kotor far exceeded all of my expectations. The location is perfect — central to all the nearby towns yet situated on a hill, away from the noise, offering peace and stunning views. The accommodation itself was spotless, truly squeaky clean. The bed gave me one of the best, most restful nights of sleep I’ve ever had. The facilities are incredible — the pool, especially, with its breathtaking view of the town and mountains, was unforgettable. But what truly sets this villa apart is the host. Zoran is without doubt the kindest and most genuine gentleman I have ever met. He welcomed us warmly, explained everything in great detail, and each morning prepared the most delicious breakfasts made with fresh local produce. Every day there was a wide variety of items to choose from, all beautifully prepared. What impressed me most is that he is always around to help, but never intrusive. After breakfast, I often enjoyed a coffee with him — his stories and conversations added so much richness to my stay. I honestly wish I had stayed longer. Without question, when I return to Montenegro, this will be the only place I book. I wholeheartedly recommend Villa Principium to anyone looking for an authentic, comfortable, and truly memorable stay.

Fabulous! Such a wonderful place. We loved everything : the room with balcony, the buffet breakfast, the swimming pool and mostly the kindness of our host, Zoran. A perfect stay on a hill where it is calm and peaceful.

Beautiful house with nicely designed rooms, perfect pool and a nice, attentive host. The view from the balcony of our room was breathtaking. The owner himself prepares the breakfast, and it was sooo good.

We liked everything. However, these are the things to consider. The owner has a dog and cats. If someone does not like animals, this is not the property for them. Due to the location of the property, it may be more comfortable if you are with a car.

A estrutura é boa. O anfitrião sensacional! Vista muito bonita. Quarto confortável.

A limpeza poderia ser melhor, havia lixo e muita poeira debaixo do rack. O Ar condicionado era de muito difícil acesso para regular e não tinha controle. O toalheiro quente não aquecia e minava água. Peças do ar condicionado estavam soltas.

Prachtig, rustgevend, vriendelijk. Als we in de buurt zijn, komen we zeker terug!

Heel proper en modern gebouw met een beperkt aantal kamers zodat er een huiselijke sfeer heerst. Alles tiptop, fantastisch zwembad en prachtig uitzicht over de baai. De host verzorgt elke morgen een smaakvol ontbijt met groenten uit eigen tuin.

Ein Juwel im Grünen

Es war toll. Der Pool ist klasse, der Gastgeber total freundlich und hat sich jeden Morgen viel Mühe gegeben mit dem Frühstück. Auf dem Grundstück wohnen auch ein Hund und drei Katzen und alle waren bezaubernd. Man hat sich wie zu Hause gefühlt. Unser Zimmer war schön eingerichtet und wir hatten einen mega Ausblick auf die Bucht von Tivat vom Balkon aus. Wir wollen definitiv wiederkommen!
