Fawns Keep - Ridgestone

Absolutely perfect stay from start to finish! Me and my partner loved every minute of it. The open-plan layout was fantastic and made the whole place feel so spacious and relaxing. The hot tub and sauna were amazing and really made the experience that little bit more special. It was the perfect place to switch off, unwind and enjoy some quality time together. We honestly couldn't have asked for a better getaway and would happily return again!

Perfect location for exploring Windermere, near enough the lake for wild swimming and water sports. The property itself was decorated nicely with a well equipped kitchen and powerful showers in the bathrooms. Beds were comfy with plenty of pillows. The hot tub was lovely and warm and the sauna heated up quickly. Check in was easy.

The inside of the property was very clean. The balcony to the rear of the property, where the hot tub and sauna were was very dirty. The vertical wood panels were covered with bird poo and dirt. The sliding door windows were filthy. The outside chair cushions had been piled up in the shower. We had to move them to an outside storage box before we could use it. I contacted the host several times after we had booked the property and they didn’t respond until a few days before we arrived.

Beautiful house & location. Amazing architecture and finish and a very comfortable stay

sauna not working and leaves could’ve been cleared up off the outside decking

The house itself is beautiful and spacious, located in a peaceful setting. The design and layout are impressive, with great potential. Lovely views and overall architecture.

No clear instructions on how to open the gate – we were stuck outside for some time with no phone reception, which was stressful. The garden, jacuzzi, and outdoor seating area were very unclean – it looked like they hadn’t been maintained in months. No full-length mirror anywhere in the house. No bins in the bathrooms or bedrooms – only one in the kitchen. Not ideal, especially for female guests. No mirrors near plug sockets for drying or straightening hair. The house had no fresh smell – no plug-ins and the stick diffusers were all empty. For a high-end booking, we expected much higher standards. We’ve stayed in many luxury homes, and this one unfortunately didn’t meet expectations. The upstairs space felt empty – it could’ve been turned into a games room to make the stay more enjoyable.
