About this cabin rental
Welcome to the ultimate log cabin. Just finished in 2024, our family built this log cabin so we can get everyone together throughout the year, and we hope you and your family can enjoy it as well. With an awesome 286 feet of sugar sand frontage on (big) Round Lake, a 60 foot dock (great for fishing!) and a sauna, this cabin will get you out on the water in the summer and on the trails and other outdoor activities throughout the year.
Please note that this cabin is on "Big" Round Lake, not Little Round Lake. Unfortunately, Vrbo has been unable to correct this for me on the map. Please see the aerial drone photos. This cabin is on an ideal section of the lake -- on the west side of Squaw Bay, which protects it from wind and waves and gives an ideal swimming and fishing experience. You can easily exit the bay and use the whole lake, and you can go through the connector to Little Round Lake as well.
This cabin is meant to bring people together. There are 6 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms in this 3,100 sq. ft. cabin built out of massive Douglas Fir logs. Per Sawyer County regulations, the occupancy is 14 people maximum.
There is a ping pong table and plenty of places to play cards and read books. We highly recommend going from the sauna to the lake, and back again. If you have to use your screens, you'll have 300 MBPS Wi-Fi in the cabin.
Round lake has it all – it’s a full recreation lake with 3,300 acres of clear, spring fed, sand bottom goodness. Fish include Musky, Panfish, Bass, Northern Pike and Walleye. There are many great restaurants nearby, and Hayward is just 8 minutes away. The snowmobile and ATV trail network goes along highway B, giving you direct access.
Rentals are weekly during the summer, Saturday to Saturday. For the rest of the year, from Labor Day to Memorial day, minimum stay is just 2 nights.

Property was extremely clean. The views were beautiful. The lake is wonderful and not too crowded. We spent a lot of time on a sandbar and a lot relaxing on our floats. Every one enjoyed fishing. Lots of catches! Our grandson said this was the best we have stayed at!
