AVANOA - Apolo XVII Calpe

The location is amazing, half a block from the La Fossa beach, with the Penal on the side and very short walk to restaurants on the other side on the way to Arenal Bol beach. The sea view from the apartment is spectacular and was great to have central air con including on the varanda. Such a treat to have a meal there. The rooms are big with nice wardrobes. Fully equipped kitchen. There was even parasol and a beach chair which were both very handy.

Small notes to add would be that would be good to have at least one more bin to help sort the rubbish as well as more bin bags, as we had few meals in and quickly filled the 2 bags provided. Shower enclosure might need a fix soon as was almost at a point was sliding off the rail but all was fine during our stay.

To pick up the keys, you have to go to an office located about 2.5 km away from the apartment. This could be a bit of a problem if you don't have a rented car. However, despite this distance, the entire key collection process ultimately went very smoothly and quickly. We absolutely loved our stay! The view from every single spot in the apartment is truly impressive – you can even enjoy it from the bathroom. The apartment was also very clean and well-maintained. Overall, it was a wonderful vacation and a fantastic place to relax!

One small thing is the lack of basic kitchen essentials like salt, sugar, or oil. We bought them during our stay and left the leftovers for the next guests.

The covered and windowed balcony is great for sitting outside all day with a wonderful view of east Calpe. We liked it even better than the second balcony with the view of the harbour and Calpe rock. The apartment is spacious and well appointed with comfortable furniture. All bedrooms are full size, so also convenient for two couples to share equally. The door stops against gusts of wind are very useful. The indoor parking with direct elevator access is very convenient. We could easily get a second set of keys at the office in Calpe centre.

Instead of small Spanish beds, there is enough room to have proper 90/180 cm wide beds to make life more comfortable. Some extra (beach) towels would have been useful. The compact kitchen is a bit of a hassle, but workable. There needs to be a clear printed instruction for the washing machine.
