Distance to the beach, restaurants and to Amalfi

We were coming in from Florence, and took the Italo train to Salerno, and then a TravelMar ferry/boat to Amalfi. Amalfi is nice, but a busy and touristy place. Hired a six-person golf cart ride into Atrani. They dropped us off near the beach. Atrani is a wonderful and charming little village and in my opinion a better place to base yourself than Amalfi. We had a bit of an adventure finding the place, but our golf taxi guy was helpful as were both the host and villagers were very accommodating to help out. Host was very kind and responsive. Check out process very easy. I would have rated this place a step higher if the second-floor bedroom mattress was more comfortable, and second floor bathroom was functional. Overall, everyone did enjoy their stay here despite the items noted. Great access to Amalfi via pedestrian tunnel - strongly recommend going for a boat ride (we did a semi-private with our group of 5 and 4 others - had a blast and the perspective from the water is the best). Rented a car out of Amalfi for 24 hrs and drove up to Ravello for dinner and sunset. Path of the gods is also a great hike.
The second floor bedroom/bed was like sleeping on a table (according to our daughters). I tested and would agree... Please strongly consider upgrading the 2nd floor mattress. The second floor bathroom was also undergoing repairs during our stay and not useable. Not a big deal since there were two other full bathrooms downstairs (one of which was ensuite).
