The location is good, in walking distance to the beach as well as a Family Mart and some restaurants. The house has all necessary facilities for a shorter stay, although a few more pots and pans would be good. The house is furnished comfortably and the WiFi is strong. What is dearly missing is an instruction manual/booklet on how to use the facilities in the house as well as how to separate garbage/recycling and where to keep it in case the indoor bins are full. When the bins were full we informed the host company which told us there will be only 1 pick up during our stay one day morning at 07:30 am and we should leave the bins outside at that time. The beds are futon-style and reasonable comfortable, however, the mattresses appear to be coil-spring mattresses which I personally find not too comfortable to sleep on the floor, but that is a matter of taste A selection of toys and mangas/comic books are available as well as 2 Ukuleles and some outdoor games and I think an older Nintendo gaming console is available as well. The outdoor aera is spacious and clean and has outdoor furniture. The area was still quite chilly when we arrived and the AC does a good job in warming up the place if set of "heating" The town of Kujukuri is located close enough to Tokyo for daytrips and has all necessary infrastructure. For bigger supermarkets or more special needs (farmers market, etc.) Togane is close by and Chiba is approx. 30 min drive via high way. Be aware, car GPS as well as map apps will always try to send you via the Togane-Kujukuri Toll Road, which charges a JPY 210.00 for cars, one way, for a very small stretch of road. Also, the toll road does not work with ETC card and you have to have cash or card ready to pay on the spot. The drive to Togane on small "country" roads is about 15mins slower, therefore, so much scenic.

The property has neither a clothes iron nor a dryer. Although it has a washing machine, the clothes cannot be ironed or at least put in a dryer after washing. We asked for an iron multiple timed but were told there is none available, when we asked if one could be organized we received the same answer. The beamer in the living room is a bit strange to operate and we managed to accidentally get "locked out" without a chance to watch anything. We tried to resolve the issue with the host company and they replied reasonably fast to our questions via messenger. Unfortunately, the issue could not be resolved. Unfortunately, unlike other self-catering properties we have rented in Japan, there is no information brochure/booklet on property facilities, e.g. recycling or garbage pick up/disposal, operating the beamer (or at least the operating manual of the beamer). Also, there were not information or tips on excursions, shopping, restaurants etc. available. The place was not very clean when we arrived, especially compared to other holiday homes we have rented in Japan, with dust and hair on the floor in every room and especially around the shower room I would stay here again if the above can be resolved/improved.
