About this apartment rental
Need a break from the hustle and bustle of life? Take a step back to our "just off the beaten path" short term rental. Over 1500 sq,ft, of comfort of farmhouse charm in the lower level of our home, You will have the benefit of a spacious family room/ kitchen, two bedrooms one with a king size bed the other with a queen size bed and one full bath that includes a washer/dryer unit. you can relax in the binzebo with your favorite beverage or roast hotdogs and marshmallows over the fire pit. If the weather is not in your favor, you can relax in front of the TV or enjoy puzzles, and family games in front of the electric fireplace. We are located just outside Hamilton, Illinois, directly across from Western Illinois Thresher grounds. We are two miles from the mighty Mississippi River , 13 miles from Carthage, Illinois and 11 miles from Nauvoo, Illinois. In the fall we are 20 minutes from Adams County Illinois which boasts some of the finest Whitetail deer hunting as well. We currently are not set up for events on our property. There is a security cameras on the back door . Self check-in is after 3pm and check-out is 11am. There is a private drive and entrance for STR, and no shared space with homeowners. We do have extra supplies for guest use, once those are depleted guest will need to supply their own. (such as toliet paper, napkins, paper towels and laundry soap).

One of the best places I've stayed. Very open and big. Couch was extremely comfortable. Kitchen actually had decent stuff to use if you want to cook! Both bedrooms were very spacious.

We had a great time at Rusty Acres. It is on a beautiful property, was very clean and spacious, the beds were comfortable, the shower was great, and it was so nice to have a washer and dryer. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. And they even left some food in the fridge for us, including eggs from their chickens. They were so kind to start a fire for us in the fire pit too, which was so fun to use.

Comfortable, homey feeling in a perfectly decorated residence. All our needs were taken care of. Quiet surroundings after busy days. We felt well taken care of during a short blackout during a storm (they have a generator). Friendly, available hosts. Loved hearing the birds in the early mornings.

The place was spacious and comfortable. The best part were the beds. They were extra large and very cozy. I liked the decor with the old radios. Never did figure out the tv but didn't need it anyway. Thank you for providing such wonderful accommodations.
