Welcome to the newly remodeled Whitney Manor, located in Nauvoo, Illinois. Our newly remodeled lodging offers the perfect blend of comfort and convenience for your stay. The Manor is located on the main street of Mullholland. Here our lodging provides easy access to everything Nauvoo has to offer. You are within walkable distance between both downtown Nauvoo and the temple, as well as a one mile walk to historic Nauvoo and the famous Nauvoo pageants.
The Space: The space is a two bedroom, one bath apartment equipped with a living room and kitchen. The master bedroom is furnished with a queen size bed, the second bedroom is furnished with a full-over-full bunk bed with a rolling trundle, both bedrooms include a closet. The open concept layout includes a living area and kitchen that creates a seamless and spacious environment where cooking, dining, and relaxation can blend together.
Kitchen: The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to create a delicious meal. Modern appliances include a refrigerator, freezer, electric stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, slow cooker, blender, toaster, cooking basics as well as dishware and flatware.
Living Area: Electric fireplace, Smart TV/ Roku, sofa sleeper, table and chairs.
Amenities: Parking, high speed wifi, towels and linens, mini split air conditioning and heating in each room, complimentary toiletries. Complimentary gym access.
General: This apartment is located at the back of the building. There are two flights of stairs that lead up to the door, no wheelchair access. We were there just one night, but enjoyed our stay. The beds were very comfortable, and the property was nice and clean.

Great location for Nauvoo. Near historic places, temple, main shopping areas. Great communication with host. He promptly answered our texts and quickly addressed any concerns. We appreciated having 3 large beds in the home plus a sofa bed. The property itself is older, but the house inside is updated. I was concerned about the ceiling fan being too close to the upper bunk bed, so we just didn't use the ceiling fan, but it wasn't needed since several AC units in the apartment kept the house very cool on hot summer days. I would suggest replacing the ceiling fan with a normal light fixture for safety and switching to a brighter light bulb in the master bedroom. Kitchen is nice. Unit is on top floor, so you need to climb stairs to get to the apartment. We enjoyed watching the fireflies from the upper balcony at night. Place looked just like the pictures. We would stay here again.

The pictures online make the property look great.
The outside is very run down, and the stairs are very rickety. When we arrived in the apartment, it was very apparent that it had not been cleaned. There were no sheets on the bed and all of the towels and other items in the apartment were dirty. Since check-in is not until four, we had already been waiting and had planned our day around check-in.
We contacted the manager who did call us back after we couldn’t get a hold of them. Apparently there had been a mixup with the cleaning schedule, and the cleaners were not scheduled to clean it until the next day. The manager was apologetic and scheduled the cleaning to be done that night. We had to leave the apartment again for a few hours, so the cleaners could come clean.
We did end up still enjoying our vacation, we would however not stay here again.
