L’accueil du propriétaire était vraiment parfait. C’est une personne très gentille, disponible et professionnelle. Il répond rapidement lorsque nous avons des questions et nous a donné plusieurs conseils très utiles pour le festival de Gujo Hachiman : comment nous y rendre, où trouver les navettes et différentes informations pratiques. Le logement était également très propre. Le propriétaire avait même pris soin de superposer trois futons afin que nous puissions dormir confortablement, sachant que nous n’avons pas l’habitude de dormir sur des futons en France. Une attention que nous avons beaucoup appréciée. Nous recommandons vivement ce logement, aussi bien pour sa localisation que pour la qualité de l’accueil et la gentillesse du propriétaire. Maison, emplacement, propriétaire

Our host was exceptional! He provided an incredible amount of assistance when we arrived. Can't say enough good things!! Everything was clean and ready to use. The location is about a 20 minute walk from old Town and a 25 minute walk from the restored castle. It's quite an uphill trek so be prepared. In fact, for the castle, there is a nature trail access within two to three minutes from the home. We were able to use this and it is a great walk if you are physically able. If you need money, there is a Japan post ATM 2 minutes away and a full super market, Valor, just 8 minutes away on foot.

Be aware of low door frames or you might bump your head depending on your height. The beds are futons upon tatami mats. If you are not used to this, it could be uncomfortable. We were able to double up some futons and that worked well for us. For us in particular, we traveled by bus from Takayama. The drop off is called the Gujo Hachiman interchange. It is literally just off the highway. But it is a hike down two long staircases with all of your gear. Then a long walk to the residence. Best to arrange for a taxi. However, our host was gracious and offered a ride. It was Godsend. Arrigatou Gozaimasu!!
