LUXE Diocletian Stones Split Centre

En plein centre

Rien

The place in the center, very authentic, you just live inside one of these ancient houses, on the first floor, you just walk in right from the street.

The hair dryer was not working.

The location is one of the only things I liked about this place. It is right in the middle of everything and was still quiet.

The biggest issue with this property was the parking situation. When I booked, I was told that parking would be available. We drove into the city expecting to be able to park, only to find that parking was not only unavailable but that the restrictions in the area were very intense. When I reached out to the owner, Daphne was incredibly kind and responsive. She suggested several free places where we could park, but unfortunately, none of them were available. We ultimately had to pay €12 per night for parking, and then discovered that we were parked in the wrong location and had to move the car. There were also a few other issues with the rental. The property itself is beautiful and has amazing original stone features, but because the air conditioning is turned off when you leave, the space had a very musty smell when we returned. The hot water was another challenge—it was scalding hot for only about five minutes at a time, and we had difficulty getting the temperature to a comfortable level. When we arrived, there were also ants in the kitchenette, and there were no basic amenities such as shampoo or body wash. I do want to emphasize that Daphne was wonderful. She responded quickly and genuinely tried to help us, even though many of these issues were outside of her control. Unfortunately, given the price we paid for the rental, the overall experience was underwhelming and didn't meet expectations.
