La propreté et le confort de l’appartement. Le quartier.

Peu de contacts à l’arrivée. On nous a proposé de déposer nos bagages (énormes valises très lourdes) au bureau principal rue Saint-Zotique où il n’y avait personne. On a appelé et on nous a dit que quelqu’un allait venir nous avons attendu longtemps mais personne n’est venu. Finalement l’appartement s’est libéré avant 16 h. On nous à donné les codes d’accès mais pas le numéro de l’appartement. Ensuite on nous a donné le numéro de l’appartement mais pas l’étage. On a fait tous les étages pour trouver l’appartement avec nos grosses valises…. Nous avons signalé pendant notre séjour un enfant qui courait dans l’appartement au dessus du nôtre en pleine nuit ou à l’aube. Personne n’a répondu à notre demande et l’enfant a continué pendant tout notre séjour (sauf la dernière nuit). Les autres questions ont été prises en compte.

Location was great, near many cafes and restaurants and 10-15 minute walk away from 3 metro stations and Jean Talon market.

The carpeting in hallways of building need cleaning as many stains (looks unkept but is more building management issue). Some areas of the unit need some attention (ceiling in shower was patched as there was probably a water leak above and damaged the ceiling in unit but the patch job looks bad). Some floor patching would be good (entrance to bathroom and to kitchen). Windows need a good cleaning and one window needs a screen replacement as torn. Also, one draw back for long stays is no washer/dryer in unit. Even a small Euro style one would be an asset.

It is a small fully furnished apartment. Quite affordable and practical.

The booking process was a bit unethical. After paying on Booking.com, you have to do additional verification on a site called Truvi.com. You must agree with giving them personal data and a scan of your ID, which they may share with other companies. Also, there is a hidden fee for extra insurance (property damage), for which one may already have insurance. I would have liked to disagree and find another hotel, but since it was unclear and unlikely that the money I already paid would be refunded, I was kind of forced to just swallow all.
