Breathtaking location overlooking the Yantra and the monument to the Assen Dynasty. Host assisted with parking on the street outside due to the nature of the road. Huge accomodation space, 2 large double bedrooms with 1 en-suite shower room (no lock) and a proper pull out sofa bed with a mattress topper (in wardrobe) so very comfortable for everyone. 1 shower room with sauna and 1 smaller shower and toilet upstairs. Balcony with bug screen was lovely to sit out and enjoy the view. Only 5min walk from the incredible Shtastliveca restaurant. Would 100% stay here again. Half way in old town and near new town.

Only possible negative could be for anyone unsure about driving in a very tight cobbled lane but we had a rental SUV and had no issues. Parking could be a short walk away if the space outside isn't available.

We had our hopes high but this place managed to surpass our expectations. The sound system can easily turn the living room into a private cinema and the sauna feels as a well deserved reward after a walk on a cold day.

Everything was great.

We enjoyed our stay at this charming apartment in the heart of the old town. The location is fantastic, with a stunning view of the river that added a special touch to our trip.

However, there were a few concerns that impacted our experience. The staircase leading to the apartment is very long and steep, and the lack of a handrail poses a safety risk, especially for families or those with mobility issues. Additionally, the hot water supply in the bathrooms was insufficient, which made showers uncomfortable. My daughter successfully caught a cold during our stay due to this issue. The apartment also has a nice coffee machine, though guests should note to bring their own coffee capsules. The sauna is not equipped with any bathrobes, so guests should ensure their own. Lastly, a couple of hours before our departure, we had an invasion of an impressive squad of plumbers, that had no clear purpose around.
