Kochimoto Guestroom

The host family is extremely nice. They gave me a lot of recommendations and were generally very nice to talk to. The Victory Liner Terminal and SM Mall, as well as the city market are in walkable distance! There is a sari sari store (kiosk) just next door.

The price is absolutely fair. The place is relatively small though. I was luckily mainly by myself, therefore I felt extremely comfortable. The bathroom is very basic, didn’t bother me at all though.

A real homestay feel to this place, as it is basically an upstairs hostel inside an apartment! Its basic but charming, with a cute kitchen (has a fridge and filter water), and a nice little roof terrace. The owner is an absolute legend! He was very responsive on whatsapp, easy to talk to and get along with, and went out of his way to help me and make sure that I enjoyed my stay in Baguio. This included reducing the price on my 2nd night, getting an extension plug when I needed a different plug type, and even bringing my backpack to me and collecting me from town by car, driving and waiting with me at the bus station to ensure I got the correct transport onwards. A really decent human! Thanks.

The shower room was pretty basic, but worked fine. The first room was a triple (bunk)bed I had to myself. The top bunk was rather high and precarious, with no rail, and privacy may be an issue if this dorm was shared with strangers. Not a problem for me though. Also there are no lockers for valuables etc. Location is down a steep hill (it is a mountain town of course). No issue for me but required a bit of effort, and not straight forward to locate at night. All minor details though!
