Villa Blu Costiera

I liked the location, and the view. Absolutely amazing view... I also liked the fact that the room was spacious.

The AC and the fridge were making weird noises over night. We asked for new towels and we were offered only a small one. The place needs to be cleaned more, and the bed needs to be changed since it makes noises and we were afraid that it might break. Also, parking is a very big problem. Paying 30€ extra/ day and having your car locked, not being able to use it is not what one wants. We had to rent a scooter and the rental price offered to us was more than the one the companies were having in the area. So...do your research very well if you are planning to travel there by car.

Det tar ca 20 min med buss att åka dit. Väl uppe i byn Pogerola är det en bit att gå och sedan en ganska lång trappa.

The views were spectacular from the balcony in both rooms. The location was private and close walking distance to a few restaurants and shops to buy groceries. The kitchen was well stocked for making your own meals.

Although it had wonderful views, the location was very secluded at the top of a hill. The bus ride was ~20min to Amalfi and didn't come that frequently. The staff was very rude. I had contacted them asking if I could check in before 3pm and they assumed it meant we would check in at 3pm. I messaged them at 530pm telling them we would arrive at 630pm. When we arrived they blamed us for giving them the wrong estimated arrival time and took their time to help us. There were no coffee pods that fit the machine in the appartment. When we told them, they said the pods in the room were from previous guests and seemed annoyed that they needed to provide us with some that would work. We had to pick them up from the restaurant in the town as they were reluctant to deliver them to the room. The tv in one of the bedrooms was cracked, they didnt tell us until we had checked in and they didn't offer any rebate. The windows in one of the rooms had no shutters and the curtains were not dark so sun would shine in very bright in the morning. Getting to the appartment was down a long road and the stones for the tosd at the end were very jagged and difficult to get a suitcase across. It was also ~20 steps down to the entrance to the gate so not very accessible. All the previous locations we stayed had laundry in the units and this one did not. For the more expensive price becasue of proximity to Amalfi I do not think it was a good value.
