Elsa our host was absolutely wonderful. She was extremely helpful and really knowledgeable on everything we needed to know about the property and the Porto area. She arranged transport and breakfast for us when we had to leave for our tour of the Douro Valley very early in the morning. Many thanks Elsa.

A lovely and comfortable stay with a family charme. We felt sorry to stay only one night....
We were only one night, so it can be wrong what we felt! So we missed to enjoy the sitting room like in other hostels. We had a warm welcome in the sitting room and thought, that's possible to use the table and couch around, but it was used like a reception and so we moved to the kitchen.
But please notice that nevertheless we enjoyed our stay very much!

This accommodation is near the beach, although a few blocks uphill from the beach. But the position is good with everything close by. It’s easy to catch a bus to Porto and is a nice ride along the river.
The host, Jorge is extremely helpful with info on things to see, restaurants and bus service.
Nice touches like kettle, tea and coffee, bottles of drinking water and shower cap, sewing kit and a little old fridge that “whooshed” in the night.
There is also a shared kitchen and washing machine. Breakfast is simple but in a lovely patisserie around the corner.
Wouldn’t take much (new curtains and lots of plump pillows) to make this meanly decorated room into a more plush inviting room. The building is solid but the curtains were cheap, the pillows were small and lumpy and the mattress hard foam.
Long open weave curtains would not only enhance the room but also provide privacy from the street outside and allow in light without closing off the street view.
