About this house rental
This beautiful, 3-story, single-family home was built in 1920 and recently renovated, located right on Lake Algonquin. Lake Algonquin is located in the Adirondack Mountains of New York and offers a serene and picturesque setting. Properties in this area are highly sought after for their natural beauty, year-round recreational opportunities, and tranquility.
Lake Algonquin is surrounded by lush forests and rolling hills, providing stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. It is ideal for activities such as boating, fishing, kayaking, and swimming. There is a public boat launch and a wheelchair-accessible fishing area on the lake.
The home is located in town, close to local country stores, and services yet offers a high degree of privacy, making it perfect for a getaway retreat or a small family reunion.
The public beach along Lake Algonquin is just a three-minute walk.
The home has 5 bedrooms and 2.5 baths with one bedroom on the main floor for easy access. There are a total of 14 rooms including a Family room, Living room, Dining room, Kitchen, Office, and Library. The floors are immaculate- including marble, tile and hardwood.
Appliances include a dishwasher, microwave, oven, refrigerator, washer/dryer and
A/C throughout the home.
Three Smart TVs throughout the home: Family room, Master bedroom and Queen bedroom.
Strong Wifi throughout the house.
There is a one car, attached garage for your usage.
There is a stairway that leads down to the water where kayaks and canoes are located, an Adirondack fire pit next to the lake and a dock for fishing or tanning.
A ladder is attached to the dock making it easier to get in and out of the water.
Charcoal and Gas grill for use - Propane is not provided for gas grill. Charcoal is not provided for charcoal grill. The amount left by previous guests may vary. You can purchase both at local stores.
Firewood is additional and upon request. You can also purchase firewood at many locations in town.
Waterfalls/hiking trails: There are multiple relaxing and picturesque hikes and waterfalls in the area. Specific suggestions are listed in the house manual.
Hiking Safety:
It is very easy to get lost if you go off-trail in the Adirondacks. Be sure that you carry a compass, GPS, map, and provisions. Make sure you have a headlamp.
Hunting season begins in mid-September. You MUST wear hunter orange (a vest and/or hat, etc. ) so you can be seen while hiking.
The surrounding Adirondack Park offers hiking, biking, and winter sports like skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling.
Gore Mountain is 30 miles away for winter lovers.
Saratoga Race Track is one hour away.
Please keep noise levels to a reasonable minimum before 8am and after 10pm to respect our neighbors.

This home has a beautiful DIRECT view of the Lake! It was spacious and very clean! The owner tended to our every need including a refrigerator replacement!!!The number of bedrooms was sufficient for our party. Access to the lake via boats was plentiful. He even included firewood for us and propane gas for the gas grill! The home is located on a main road but also directly on the lake so the front bedrooms have to contend w a little road noise of vehicles passing through during the early morning hours but for the most part of the day the place is completely serene! Would definitely book again and is great for families or multiple guests! The fall foliage was just turning when we arrived and was pleasing to the eye! Book today and you won’t be disappointed!!!

This property was wonderful! John was very quick to respond and was so kind from booking until we left. We stayed for a wedding on Oak Mountain. It was about a 15 min drive. The house was so spacious and clean and was perfect for our 8 adults and 1 child. We all loved the upstairs loft, it was such a unique area. We cooked out and had breakfast every morning in the large kitchen and dining room. At night we hung out down by the water and then finished the evening all having family movie night! The living room was a perfect area for my parents and sisters, plus spouses to stretch out! It was wonderful to connect as a family and enjoy each others company. We all hope to come back to visit and to enjoy the house and property more!

John was so friendly and kind! He even called to let us know he was in no rush to have us leave, so we could take more time on the lake. The house is gorgeous, and the property beautiful, the view with the lake and mountains was breathtaking. Would love to stay here again!

Stayed at this property to enjoy the lake and surrounding area. Everything we needed was perfect from the moment we arrived. Better than the listing, manager very accommodating providing extra equipment for our family to enjoy the water. We would definitely recommend this property and tell anyone looking, to just BOOK IT! You will not be disappointed. Hope to go back next year!
