Nestled in the heart of Downtown Cozumel, La Isla Bonita (DCC, Unit #203) at Distrito Cozumel Centro condominiums offers you all the creature comforts of a home, as well as a taste of everything beautiful on this island paradise!!! Whether you’re on a family vacation or a romantic getaway, or needing some quality “alone time“ or just wanting to work remotely at someplace more “interesting,” La Isla Bonita is the ideal destination for both land lovers and divers alike!
The condo is ideal for up to 2 adults and 1-2 preteens. It offers a private bedroom with a queen-size bed, in addtion to an inflatable double mattress with extra pillows and bedding for younger guests. The bedroom also has a small desk and chair in the room for working remotely or for private Zoom calls. The bathroom has a private shower and provides a SCUBA gear rinse tub and a hanging rack.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a full-size refrigerator/freezer, cooktop, microwave oven, coffee pot, 5 function mixer, and air fryer-toaster-mini over combo. There are plenty of pots, pans, dishes and utensils, as well. The dining table seats 4. There are tables and chairs on the private balcony perfect for breakfast or evening cocktails.
The living room has a comfy reclining sofa where you can relax and watch your favorite shows on the Smart TV that includes IP TV with access to Netflix, as well as other international TV channels and movies. The condo also provides free fiber optic Wi-Fi.

La Isla Bonita is on the 2nd floor of Distrito Cozumel Centro, a newly built, modern 7-floor condominium building a couple of blocks away from the beloved Parque Benito Juarez in downtown Cozumel where you’ll find restaurants, bars, shopping, and live events throughout the year. The ground floor features a lobby with a secure entrance and on-site staff and a gym. The views of Cozumel, the pier and especially the sunsets are amazing from the spectacular rooftop pool and Jacuzzi! The rooftop lounge also has a grill, tables, showers, bathrooms, and shade… It’s the perfect place to relax, read, lounge, soak, and recharge.

Amber, Rodrigo and Mayra were great! Quick to respond with any questions we had. We have been Cozumel for 28 years, and this was our first time staying at La Isla Bonita. We were pleasantly suprised. The condo is a nice size and well stocked. Short walk to Centro. Entrance to the bulding is locked at all time adding to your safety. See you next year!

This condo had many positives—it was clean, well-furnished, safe, and in a walkable location within El Centro (downtown Cozumel). For our 7th trip to the island, we appreciated the convenience of being able to walk everywhere within 10–20 minutes.That said, it’s on a very busy corner, and the noisy neighborhood was a significant drawback. Constant dog barking late at night made it difficult to sleep, even with a fan and a white noise app on our phone.Lighting was another issue—the bathroom was very dimly lit (we ended up bringing in a small table lamp to help), and there was no lighting above the kitchen sink. Adding under-cabinet lights and better bathroom lighting would be a welcome improvement.Towels were also a surprise. For a 10-day stay, we were only provided two bath towels and no pool towels. Additionally, there were no hot pads to safely remove or place items from the air fryer, stovetop, or microwave; and limited counter space made meal prep challenging, especially for longer stays. The shower water, while warm with acceptable pressure, never felt truly hot nor required adjustment from the full “hot” position.The rooftop pool was a nice amenity, but with only three lounge chairs for the entire complex, seating by the pool was often unavailable.We chose this condo for its price point, but in hindsight, it didn’t measure up to similarly priced accommodations. While it’s modern and well-located, we likely wouldn’t stay here again.
