Guest house Mitaki

Pretty much everything. Exceptionnal hospitality from the hosts (Kanji-san and his wife). The place is very well maintained and you can clearly see they put alot of care for this place. Kanji does a great job making sure his guests are comfortable and his wife, who takes care of the cafe, treat her customers with kindness. It felt like being home. I felt safe. The location is up a hill with a shrine nearby. Once you get up the hill, you can already feel a cool breeze even in a hot day. At the guesthouse itself, you constantly feel a fresh breeze and you can hear the water flowing down from the mountain. Late in the night (before 10pm), Kanji would have some friends at the cafe. Feel free to wander and go talk to them! (Though they mostly talk their native language but if you have an app to translate, it helps!). I had fun chatting, drinking and eating with them, and even got a caricature made by his friend as a souvenir! Also, the courtyard in the center of the guesthouse is a footbath. Worth it if you have been walking all day. Simply put, the guesthouse was the memorable for me and I will definitely return! Just a side note : the guesthouse is located up on hill and takes about 10 minutes if you travel "light" (55L bagpack). If you carry oversized luggage, there is a bus that takes you close to the location, or rent a car to reach it. Otherwise, the climb can be an inconvenient if you are travelling heavy.

I regret not staying longer!

Host is a great chef and woke up 5am to drive me to the station. Super Legend!

何より景観が素晴らしく、心のリフレッシュに。館内は綺麗でアメニティも充実し、夜は足湯に浸かりながら外国人観光客と漫画アニメの話で盛り上がりました。また機会があれば訪れたいです。

強いて挙げれば、行きは荷物が多いので、最寄り駅からの坂がややきついぐらいでしょうか。それも慣れますし、近くには広島駅へのバスも出ています。
