⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Stay That Feels Like a European Palace My first time staying at this hotel, and it honestly felt like stepping into a European palace! The hotel is clean, spacious, and beautifully designed, with high ceilings that make the whole environment feel elegant and luxurious. Best of all, it is very quiet and peaceful. The receptionist was also very helpful and quickly arranged transportation whenever I needed to go somewhere, which was especially convenient since the main building and hotel are separate. Although walking between places might feel a little inconvenient for some guests, I promise you that the beautiful surroundings and atmosphere will not disappoint you. If you appreciate a peaceful stay with a touch of European elegance, this hotel is definitely worth experiencing! ❤️

We stayed in one of the towers and there was no phone to connect with at the reception… so basically there is no room service… no way of contacting staff… even if u need something urgent

Some places captivate you before you even step through the entrance. Chateau de Khaoyai Hotel and Resort was one such place. With its impressive exterior, immaculate landscaping, lush greenery and tasteful design, the property appeared to promise an enchanting escape into the beauty and tranquillity of Khao Yai. Sadly, what unfolded behind that beautiful facade was an experience so disappointing that our two-night stay felt considerably longer than it should have. The disappointment began at check-in. We were assigned a room that was leaking and appeared not to have received a proper cleaning in a very long time. It was an utterly disheartening introduction to a property that, from its outward appearance, suggested considerably higher standards. The excitement and anticipation we had brought with us quickly evaporated, replaced by the uncomfortable realisation that things were not quite as they seemed. What made matters worse was that we had to guide the staff towards the obvious solution of changing our room. Eventually, a room change was arranged, and the replacement was larger and better by comparison. One might have hoped that this would mark the beginning of a recovery. Unfortunately, it did not. The second room, too, showed signs of inadequate cleaning and maintenance. A bigger room may offer more space, but it does little to restore confidence when the fundamental standards of housekeeping and upkeep remain questionable. I shall refrain from going into aggressive detail about the condition of the rooms. There is little pleasure in publicly dissecting every shortcoming of a property. Suffice it to say that the experience left us with more disappointment than we had ever anticipated. The most frustrating part was the contrast. Outside, the grounds were beautiful. The landscaping was immaculate, the greenery lush, and the design tasteful. There was clearly considerable visual appeal to the property. Yet, somewhere between those beautiful grounds and the rooms in which guests are expected to relax, the experience fell painfully short. A hotel is not simply its gardens, architecture or photographs. It is the room you return to after a long day, the cleanliness that allows you to feel comfortable, the maintenance that assures you everything is functioning as it should, and the service that makes you feel welcome rather than obliged to manage your own problems. Unfortunately, these were precisely the areas in which our confidence was shaken. Having lost faith in the overall standards so early in our stay, we decided not to take any chances with the food and beverage offerings. In hindsight, that caution proved justified when we encountered breakfast the following morning. In all my worldly travels, I have enjoyed far better food at third-rate bed-and-breakfast establishments. That is not a comparison I ever expected to make at a resort of this appearance and apparent ambition. Breakfast should have been an opportunity for the property to redeem itself, or at the very least to offer a pleasant start to the day. Instead, it reinforced the disappointment we had already experienced. The Wi-Fi was atrocious, adding yet another frustration to the list. To be fair, there was one small consolation: the water pressure in the shower was delightful. Sometimes, when the overall experience gives you so little to celebrate, even the simplest things become memorable for the right reasons. And so, we endured our two nights. What should have been a relaxing getaway became an exercise in lowering expectations and counting the hours until departure. By the end, two nights had somehow managed to feel like considerably more. It is genuinely sad, because the property has the potential to be something special. The setting is attractive, the grounds are beautiful, and the design creates expectations of an experience that should be memorable for all the right reasons.
