    The staff made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Chi was especially kind and took the time to recommend local dishes and explain what to try, which helped us discover some fantastic Vietnamese food. Her friendly attitude and genuine enthusiasm made our experience much more enjoyable. It's always nice when hotel staff are happy to share their local knowledge with visitors.

    Our first trip to Vietnam exceeded all expectations, and this hotel played a big part in that experience. While the facilities were excellent—modern, elegant, and exceptionally clean—it was the outstanding service that truly set this place apart. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and professionalism. A special thanks to Chi and Tan, whose friendly greetings each morning and attention to detail made us feel genuinely valued. Their sincere hospitality created an atmosphere that was both relaxing and memorable. Experiences like this are rare and are exactly what turn a good stay into an unforgettable one.

    Unfriendly chef who doesn’t allow hotel guest (15 mins earlier) to have early breakfast even though breakfast spread is ready at 5.45 am (see photo of chef and breakfast spread). Chef also did not allow takeaway by hotel guests using his own food ‘bento’ box container. Chef insisted hotel guests to speak to front seat reception (ie Manager only reported to work at 6 am). Front desk reception can’t do anything. Note: Hotel guest requested earlier breakfast as his family need to catch the bus at 6am to holiday destination. Suggestion: Hotel management should consider allowing paying hotel guests (who has paid for both hitel room and breakfast costs) to have their breakfast.

    Good value for money hitel accommodation. Unpleasant experience at Chalcedony - Chef and waitress (staff) at breakfast location not so friendly and helpful. Chef did not allow hotel guests to come for early breakfast (at 5.47am) even though breakfast starts at 6am and the breakfast spread is ready (see photo and chef). Chef also did not allow takeaway breakfast even though hotel guests requested to take away with their own small food container. Chef insisted hotel guest to speak to front desk (Manager not in as he reports to work at 6am) and reception can’t do anything to allow paying guest to have early breakfast 15 mins before 6am. Recommendation/ Suggestion: Hotel management should be more flexible to allow hotel guests who have paid for hotel room and breakfast costs to have their breakfast (15 mins earlier) or allow guests to have breakfast (takeaway) as Hotel guests need to catch an early bus to the airport/ holiday destination.
