Desiterra Resort & Spa

We had an amazing experience at this hotel! The service was excellent, and the entire staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. A special thank you to Sandesh from the restaurant area, who was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and always made us feel so well taken care of. His kindness truly made our stay even more special. About 15 minutes from the airport we arrive at Desiterra resort, located on the east side of the island, a tranquil beautiful spot directly overlooking the sea. Stunning views of other islands of Anafi and Amorgos. The dawn sunrise is simply breathtaking my advice is get up witness it even if you have to go back to bed. The resort is a 5 minute walk along the beach to a lovely little cafe restaurant by the local harbour again amazing for sunrise. If you are a runner the roads are reasonably safe this time of year. Get that dawn run done. The resort is isolated but for us that was perfect the resort runs a shuttle bus dependent on your activities and budget it's this or a hire car. The resort will organise the hire for you but you can get better deals. We hired a car and have litterly been everywhere. We stayed in The blue monkey, (wall painting from ancient akrotiri) traditional vaulted ceiling villa tiled throughout. Air-conditioning hot and cold, walk in shower with rain shower and hand shower. The bed is situated on a mezzanine overlooking the lounge kitchen area. The kitchen is well appointed kettle coffee machine (illy iperespresso) odd pods. You can buy locally but room service give you two daily. The cleaners are meticulous in their attention to detail. Staff are fantastic Sandesh thankyou. 5 star all of the staff

We enjoyed our stay and the staff was amazing. Everyone was so helpful and accommodating, and had great suggestions on things to do in the area. Our flight arrived very early and the resort provided transportation and a complementary breakfast while we were waiting for the room to be ready. From the moment we stepped onto the property the staff made us feel comfortable and welcome. We traveled as a family, and the two bedroom villas were nice and spacious – plenty of room for a family of five. This resort is definitely outside of town, so figuring out transportation is a must- which the staff will help with if needed.

The front office staff ( Harpreet & Michael) were very curtious, prompt and customer focused. The Restaurant staff (Sandesh & Sandeep) were very friendly and welcoming. Some suggestions for improvement at the property. Outside Window shutters rattled all night long and need to be better secured Ensure there is hot water in the shower at all times which was lacking. No complimentary shuttle to the port for pickup nor drop off . Door to the bathroom/shower did not lock in the master bedroom
