The location and the studio on top of the houseboat were just delightful. It’s such a quiet neighbourhood, stunningly convenient for public transport (which is highly efficient and reasonably priced). Apps such as 9292 & Citymapper on top of the ubiquitous Google maps make navigation with public transport simple. The property itself was a little larger than we had imagined from the photo’s. Try clean, welcoming and comfortable. A highlight has to be the full length windows opening onto the canal. As we stepped off the bus and walked the few steps to the houseboat we saw a heron! It was lovely to have a simple breakfast supply included and a welcome fridge to use. We really enjoyed the fact of no cooking facilities as we appreciated the opportunity to try lots of places to eat out - in using local quality takeaways. We rebooked the iamsterdam city card if you are staying long enough, for museum access, attractions and included public transport. Hosts made us aware of this and it was a great call. Hosts were wonderful, welcoming, friendly and helpful. The experience of staying on a houseboat on a canal in Amsterdam will be hard to beat. So many attractions and museums just a pleasant walk away.

There is nothing not to like. Perfect base for exploring the many museums and attractions of this beautiful and cultured city.

Koen and Olivia were great hosts. The place was comfortable. We had a super water view.
