    FIRST TIME TO WRITE A BAD REVIEW IN AGODA… I stayed at this hotel for 12 days, and overall my stay started off well. Check-in was smooth, the location was excellent—close to Madison Square Garden—and the housekeeping staff was friendly, accommodating, and did a great job throughout my visit. However, my experience took a disappointing turn on my last day. I woke up to a text message from my credit card company notifying me of an unexpected charge of $26.52 from the hotel. I immediately called the front desk for an explanation and was transferred to customer service. After being placed on hold for quite some time, I finally spoke with someone who was unable to explain why the charge had been made. Since I wasn’t getting any answers over the phone, I went downstairs to speak with the staff in person. When I asked for an explanation, I was simply told that it was a mistake or a system glitch. I found this explanation difficult to accept because my physical credit card was not in their possession, yet a charge was still processed. The staff assured me that the amount would be refunded, but the lack of a clear explanation was concerning. What disappoints me most is that if my credit card company had not alerted me immediately, I may never have noticed the charge. This situation left me questioning how securely guest payment information is handled. While I appreciated many aspects of my stay, this incident significantly affected my trust and overall impression of the hotel.
