Our recent visit was simply incredible. Overflowing with history, every corner of the establishment exuded charm and fascination. Great property within walking distance of the best of Mainz and good parking area. Place was nice and perfect for a small family to stay for a few days.

Excellent location! No need to drive as everything is within walking distance. Marco was a fabulous “host” and was attentive to any needs or questions. Upgraded to a quieter apartment on higher floor. The room was spacious and clean. Although the streetcar vibration was noticed, it was not disruptive to sleep. Also streetcars don’t run after about 12:30am-6am, so we slept well. Nice kitchen with all you would need if dining in. Plenty of coffee, which was a huge plus! Hotel was beautiful, clean and spacious. Smell of sewer gas from bathroom was the only negative, which is common in older buildings. We kept the door closed and did fine otherwise. Parking was off-street and very safe. Lovely stay for those who wish to walk through Mainz and be close to everything. Christmas market was lovely!

We arrived earlier than normal check in time and were met by a very friendly and welcoming agent. We were given a beautiful room immediately. Definitely a perfect place for walking and seeing the sights of Mainz

What a WONDERFUL find! We initially decided to stay in Mainz instead of Frankfurt because it's much easier to get around and in and out of vs. the larger city of Frankfurt. The Apartment Suite Osteiner Hof is in the heart of Mainz. Not only is it walking distance to everything, including public transit, tourist sites, and lots of dining option, but the spacious multi-bedroom suites are perfect for families. Marco was so helpful in getting us settled and even stepped up to help us when our son suddenly got sick. Luckily is was only a 24-hr. bug, but having such a large space to be confined for 24-hrs.helped alleviate the stress of having a sick teen. We did read some of the reviews that referenced the noise from the public transit, but honestly, we didn't hear anything. If you have kids and are looking for an awesome place to make your homebase while in Germany, than look no further.

Great location and building. The decoration was tasteful but some of the hinges on the cupboards and drawers seem to be faulty. Might be problematic in the warmer months as having the windows open to the square can be a bit noisy.

The check in went well except the man, Mike, was not friendly. He was to show us to our parking place 25E, and was brusk. In the morning, we left at 8 am on Sunday and the main door to the building was locked. I messed with it out in the cold and finally called. He seemed perturbed that he would have to get out of bed but did come quickly. Then he insisted on me watching him unlock this very old and heavy door in order to show me how inept he felt I was. He seems to be bothered with customers and that is not the kind of feeling you are looking for as a customer.
