Bowman Inn & Suites

Nice hotel, friendly staff.

Staff was helpful. Room was clean, but some of the sheets were stained and one was getting thin in spots and should be thrown away. There was a weird smell when you walked into the hotel and in the hallways. Thankfully the room didn’t smell though. It was a more basic continental breakfast, but decent. Things to note when booking, there’s no pool and no elevator.

The property was nice but they have some minor work to do in the maintenance area b/c all of the door hinges need oiling with something like WD-40 b/c they all squeak noticeably. This is something that is easily fixed and the fact that they squeak is symptomatic of poor maintenance. In the cleanliness department, the outside area between the side of the building and the beginning of the paved parking area is littered with trash such as discarded cigarette butts. This needs to be rectified b/c it presents a poor appearance to travelers and leaves one with the impression that management does not care about the appearance of their property. Also, the lady who apparently covers the front desk in the daytime has a chronic smoking habit, which means that she spends a lot of time outside smoking.
