I had a pleasant stay at Flock Kathmandu Hostel and would happily recommend it, especially to solo travellers and backpackers. One of the nicest bonuses was the rooftop. It was a pleasant place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere after a day of exploring Kathmandu. I also liked the variety of food available at the hostel,. there were plenty of options to choose from, which was very convenient. The location is another plus. The hostel is quite close to the Thamel area, and if you walk just around 100 metres towards the main road, you’ll find plenty of restaurants, shops and other conveniences. There is also a small shop near the hotel entrance where you can buy basic necessities such as soap, shampoo and drinking water. I stayed in a 4-bed female dorm on the 4th floor. The room was comfortable enough for me, especially since I was travelling with just a backpack. However, there is no lift, so guests with large or heavy luggage may find the stairs a little challenging. For dorm stays, do take note that you’ll need to bring your own towel and toiletries/amenities. This wasn’t a problem for me, especially with the small shop nearby. The Wi-Fi was good during my stay, and the bathroom was sufficient and reasonably clean. Overall, I found the hostel comfortable, convenient and good value for money. The staffs were also very kind, always ready to help, I felt happy and grateful! As a solo traveller with a backpack, I enjoyed my stay at Flock Kathmandu. It was a practical and welcoming base for exploring the city, and I would consider staying here again on my next visit to Kathmandu.

The staff was extremely helpful and polite at all times. Especially the love music nights on Fridays and Saturdays is in a world of its own.

The staff is great but the rooms and beds are too small. The common area isn't very fun and the restaurant is okay. The location is far from City centre.
