The host was very helpful and checked motorcycle rental and bus schedule for us. The guesthouse is located at the quiet Guanting street, which is approximately 12 minutes walking distance from Tainan railway station and 5 minutes walk to ci kan lou/ bus stop for 88 & 99 route which can take us to some popular tourist spots, i.e. salt museum. There is no elevator but only spiral type staircase and hence not advisable for family with infants and elders, but the host was kind and helped us carrying the luggage to the room upstairs.

It was a really interesting hotel. It's both a restaurant and hotel, so you walk in through the dining area and then upstairs to find the rooms. I stayed there during the week in the wintertime, so I think I was the only guest at the time. Everything is decorated very well, and it's located in a good area--around the city center, near many landmarks.
