    Lovely place to stay and very easy to get around. The two ladies at reception were friendly and welcoming. However, the young male on night duty had a rude and impatient attitude. Overall, a good stay 👍

    The Monastery is a great option if you want to get away from a typical American hotel. It’s clean, it’s in a great location and it’s very European. It’s a short walk up (lots of stairs) to the Fisherman’s Bastion and Buda Castle and even shorter to the Chain Bridge across to Pest. The breakfast (included) was great and dinner in the restaurant was quite good. We would return in a heartbeat.

    I was traveling with my mother. Our room was very large, clean and very quiet! The bathroom was spacious and modern with all new fixtures and tiles and plenty of towels. Our beds and linens were very clean and comfortable with lots of storage space for our clothing and suitcases. The breakfast was very very good. Lots of food choices in buffet style, plenty of hot coffees, juices, fruits and large selection of breads and pastries. All food was freshly made and neatly presented. The breakfast room was spacious and very clean. The hotel location was AMAZING. Walkable to the Fisherman's Bastion and St Mathias as well as all the palaces on Buda hill. Only one block to the Danube River and the Pest views. Very cute and delicious local neighborhood restaurants right near by!

    I was disappointed in this hotel and thought it was overpriced for what you got. There were no gowns or slippers and I found that the housekeeper did not do her duties properly The bin did not have a liner and after disposing my teabags found them still in the bin the day after and there was a bit of paper next to it which was not removed. So to me it was obvious the room was not cleaned properly. I found the carpets in the hallway worn and not properly cleaned also. The towels also needed updating and were very worn. Even though the bed was double it had two single doonas. I had a room downstairs and my window faced a bar area so I was kept awake from the music which was annoying and kept me awake. Not so sure I would stay on the Buda side again as it was extremely hot and a long walk over the bridge. Breakfast was mediocre but the staff were all very nice. I think the hotel could do with an update and refurbish.
