    This hotel is located right next to Saga-Arashiyama bus station, and is 15 minutes' walk away from the main Arashiyama attractions, e.g. bamboo forest and Tenryu-ji. The location is very good, and it is quiet at night. The hotel is quite small. with only 2 rooms per floor. There is a water refilling machine on each floor right outside the room door with different temperature water available, that was very convenient. The room was a good size and was clean and comfortable.

    They only provide a Japanese breakfast now and it is served in your room. They need to make this a lot clearer when you book especially given that the review photos show a Western Breakfast. One of the receptionists - the older lady - was a little bit rude without realising. She rang up and said “do you want your room cleaned?” and I said yes and she then said “you must go out” which, for an English person is not very polite but I don’t think she realised so I didn’t say anything.
