Our overall stay at Jongno Hotel Pop was smooth and practical, especially as a base for exploring Seoul since we spent most of our days out and about. The location is truly exceptional, offering seamless connectivity via nearby train lines (Subway Lines 1, 3, and 5), bus stops (including the Airport Limousine Bus), and easy walking distance to major tourist attractions, Gwanjang Market, Olive Young, coffee shops, convenience stores, and jewelry shops. Down in the lobby, the hotel provides great complimentary amenities including an elevator, a water dispenser, a microwave, a coffee station, and a Samsung Styler clothing care system. The staff were always approachable and friendly, though using a translation app helped bridge the language barrier smoothly. Inside the room, we appreciated the comfortable bed, a large TV pre-loaded with Netflix, Disney+, YouTube Premium, and local channels, as well as a separate bath and toilet with a Japanese-style bidet and working heater. The room was well-equipped with a mini-fridge replenished with water daily, an electric kettle with coffee, a hair straightener, a hair dryer, and complete toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothbrushes, razors, shower caps, and cotton pads) that were restocked every day. While the room wasn't squeaky clean, and we avoided using the in-room bathtub for that reason, we managed our expectations beforehand and simply wiped down what we needed to use. Other than the minor cleanliness details, we had no major issues and would definitely recommend this hotel to practical travelers who aren't overly picky and just need a convenient, fully-stocked place to sleep.

Like sleeping on the hospital mattress where there is a layer of plastic. Very hard to sleep. Write to hotel on my request but they never reply. There was a day no housekeeping and went to the reception with the rubbish and was told to throw the rubbish myself. very disappointed with the staff attitude.

Rooms are a lot smaller than they appear. The toilet wasn't working properly, none of the drains drained properly. Staff wasn't very welcoming. Wish I would've stayed at a chain rather than a boutique hotel in this area.
