    What a hidden gem. Nothing flashy or fancy but located in one hell of a spot. I came during a typhoon but the staff was overly welcoming and friendly. The room was clean, duh, it’s Japan. The spot is located to some amazing small mom and pop restaurants and two amazing bars called Key Largo and Little Banana. What a fantastic place. Not to mention they have laundry!! In unit!!

    From start to finish, I had a great experience staying at the Moana. Every person on staff is friendly and welcoming. They want to cater to all your needs while you're staying there. Everything was clean, the laundry in the unit makes it convenient for those on longer vacations. It's situated about a block from the seawall and has beautiful sunsets. It's a very quiet neighborhood with many local restaurants within a few blocks. If you're looking to get away from the overly tourist area like American Village and be less than a 10 min car ride or 45 min walk away, stay at the Moana. They aim to please with their island vibes feel. I would definitely stay here again next time in in Okinawa.

    The Moana is very convenient if you’re staying in Chatan/Sunabe and enjoy easy walking to the Seawall and great restaurants. The rooms are clean with perfect kitchens that have everything you need for a week or more of enjoying Okinawa. The only downsides are: 1. limited parking (and the front desk will keep your car keys to shift vehicles when needed) and 2. Room service is not daily - they tidied our room once while we were there. We were fine with this but others may not be. 3. The jacuzzi is refreshingly cool, but if you’re expecting a hot tub, this is not it. Otherwise, the hotel is well-managed, clean, and well-priced for the amenities.
