    We have stayed at many hotels in Chiang Mai. We come back to The Craft. Helpful staff, clean and quiet rooms, good coffee shop and restaurant on premises. Easy walk to Nimman Road, lots of restaurants, shops, and cafes nearby. WIll stay there the next time we visit Chiang Mai.

    The hotel is in a good location. Walking distance to all restaurants and coffee shops. But I recommend opting out of breakfast. There are a lot of places around that serve great breakfast and superb coffee.

    I rarely leave negative reviews, but my stay here was disappointing from arrival to check-out. Upon arrival, I discovered the hotel does not have its own parking. This was not stated on the Agoda listing, and guests are required to park across the street and pay an additional 100 THB per night. Because I was unaware, I briefly stopped in front of the hotel and was spoken to in a harsh manner and asked when I would move the car. After checking out, I went to the front desk myself to politely suggest that parking information should be clearly communicated to guests in advance. I was told that the person who spoke to me was from the massage shop next door and that the hotel could not do anything about it. I was also told the information was already written on Agoda and that it was my responsibility to call the hotel beforehand to check. I later checked the listing again and could not find such notice. A normal guest would not know they must call a hotel in advance just to find out whether parking exists. During this conversation, instead of addressing the concern, the staff changed the topic and told me, “Do you know that you gave the wrong floor?” I had clearly informed the front desk that I was staying on the 2nd floor, yet I was blamed because staff had knocked on another occupied room on the 3rd floor and were reprimanded by that guest. A misunderstanding can happen, but blaming a guest for an operational mistake is not appropriate. Room details should always be verified in the hotel system before disturbing another guest. The tone and manner of speaking were uncomfortable and unprofessional, and no apology was offered. I am sharing this feedback so management is aware and can improve communication, accountability, and service standards. Guests should receive clear information before arrival and be treated respectfully throughout the stay.
