Room was freezing cold and no hot water when I went to take a shower the following morning.

Room was in poor condition. Towel radiator hanging off wall, strip between carpet and bathroom floor missing air con not working.

Room was OK. A few hairs around and in the bath from previous guest. It was extremely cold however and when asking whether it would get warmer at reception I was advised it is controlled behind somewhere and someone will look into it. The room remained freezing cold throughout the evening and therefore was hard to sleep in. Was woken up before 8am in the morning as contractors was banging about with what sounded like metal bars and poles and plugging in electrical items in sockets. Breakfast was amazing. Will not be returning unfortunately.

Receptionist was very friendly and interested in our stay. Room heating seemed to be an issue. Deluxe room was not as spacious as the previous one we had. Hotel itself is in a perfect location with very reasonable discounted parking close by.Might try another local Hotel next visit.

Bath in bathroom could do with replacement flaking paint and also plug adapter hanging off. Also the creme brulee for £11 was cold and not the best. The big issue was the parking. Parked at Q park went to get the discount in morning of checkout to be told it had to be prebooked? Parking cost me £39

Stayed for one night in October 2025 for a family trip. The staff were all friendly and helpful throughout our stay, they are a real asset to the hotel and made a positive impression. The room was a good size, even with a fold-up bed for a child, though it was a bit cold initially due to the older building, but it warmed up after adjusting the heating and closing the curtains. The location was excellent and within walking distance of everything we needed. Breakfast was a highlight: hot food was made to order, and the continental buffet included homemade granola, which was very good.

Wasn’t told when booking this hotel that there would be scaffolders dismantling scaffolding outside my room all day. Also, playing music at full volume and singing. If I was told about this I would have booked a different hotel.

The room was great size, nice and clean. My only issue was the coldness of the staff I emailed. I told them this is a special occasion as we got married on that day and bought additional extras which were provided but they left a note of "happy anniversary.." Well its a tiny thing but that extra bit of attention would have been great. Also maybe just say congrats in the email when you hear someone is getting married and want to stay at your hotel, its not that hard. :) Overall I would still rate our stay as great, room was outstanding and the view was great.

Breakfast was a painful experience. I was shown into a corner - and felt like I was forgotten - no-one took my order, I had to ask, and everything took too long. I was promised a VAT receipt would be brought over, this was also forgotten.

Excellent conclusion to a buiness trip, ideal lication in the heart of the city centre with shopping, clubs, pubs and restaurants close at hand. Beautiful appointed old building, with large room, clean, modern and fresh. Ensuite huge with both bath and walk-in shower and all the little details as you would expect from Malmaison. Expensive car parking if staying overnight, however for minimal cost of a few pounds allows on street parking outside the hotel between the hours of 6pm 10-pm and free from 10 pm - 8 am

The room was nothing short of outstanding — spacious, beautifully designed, and immaculately presented. The attention to detail was impeccable. The staff were simply incredible — warm, professional, and attentive without ever being intrusive. From check-in to departure, every interaction made us feel truly valued.
