Amazing location and really stylish hotel in the middle of all the action. We were happy with what we paid for but the reason I’m not giving 5 stars all round is because we found the bed to be a bit too soft for our liking and the room too dark, even with all the lights on I could barely see to do my makeup. Certainly didn’t ruin the weekend but they would do well do add additional vanity lighting in the bathroom.

We spent a lot of money to stay in this hotel and it was spectacular. However, the breakfast is provided at the attached cafe and we could not believe the hotel policy that it only includes one item. We ordered eggs and then had to pay extra for bacon. For the price we paid for the rooms they can do better than that.

I booked this hotel for my wife who was in Brisbane for less than 24hrs and wanted to be central to where she needed to go. We made it clear from booking that she would have a car and she had an early flight the next morning. We communicated with the hotel several times in the lead up to her stay and it wasn’t until she arrived at the hotel for her stay at 4:30pm, that she was advised the Brisbane Marathon was on the next morning and road closures would mean she would not be able to get out in the morning. Whilst we have no issues with events and road closures, we would have chosen to stay elsewhere had we known the complications on this particular night. As it was, I then had to book parking elsewhere and provide directions for my wife to get there. The next morning, it became evident that the marathon was actually passing the front door of the hotel which made what was supposed to be a 5 minute walk to the car park in the Valley, a 35 minute walk. Again, the hotel should have arranged for clear directions to exit the Howard Smith Wharf precinct, but failed. We will NEVER stay here again, or recommend it to anyone visiting Brisbane.
