The room was clean and staff on reception lovely and welcoming. Id booked a standard double room but think was allocated a small double. Not knowing what to expect I didnt say anything at the time.

The internets was very slow, but the overall stay was good! I recommed investing in doormats (for the rainiy days) and toiletbrushes in every room.

We have a room without window, very small and nobody came to clean the room during all our stay.
Inacceptable pour le prix payé.

No toiletries in the bathroom . The reception service was ok and helpful . Great location and view from the room
4.0 / 10.0
Staff member on reception was pleasant, room was keen. You have to understand that this is a really basic room, there is a space to stand in, the (tiny) en-suite area and the bed. That is pretty much it. If you are just looking for somewhere to put your head down for the night and not share a hostel room then this is a great option but Edinburgh in general is very pricey so don't be shocked that you don't get as much as you would in a Premier Inn or similar. Drinks are available in reception for £1 (no facilities in room) and there is no lift!

Didn't realise room would be so small and also no tea/coffee in room.

I stayed at easyHotel Edinburgh for two nights on a last-minute booking. Prices in the city were high, so I chose this knowing the rooms would be small — but they’re tiny, more like a small cabinet with a bathroom the size of an airplane one.
We were two people with two backpacks and a trolley, and it was nearly impossible to move around. Even simple things like showering, packing, or getting ready felt like a challenge. The bathroom has no ventilation, so after a shower the whole room fills with uncomfortable humidity.
After long days of walking around Edinburgh, I honestly didn’t look forward to returning to the room — it just wasn't comfortable.
On the positive side, the staff were friendly and the location is very central. Still, I wouldn’t stay here again. It’s only suitable for one person needing a basic place to sleep for a short stay.

- Paper thin walls
- my wife forgot her keycard and staff wouldn't let her in, claiming we didn't live there
- I could barely fit in the bed
- water took forever to heat up
- one of the "flush" buttons didn't work, the other got stuck sometimes, and the whole plate with flush buttons fell off twice
- still some of the cheapest accomodation we could find (wow)
- good location though

Clean room, cozy but you know what to expect when you book it. Great for solo travel and cheap bag storage too if you have a late flight.

Small like a prison, not for the claustrophobic

The room was clean and comfortable with alot of shops near by

A very compact small room. I would not recommend this experience. Edinburgh is a great place to visit, easy hotel is not.

Rooms are super tiny. Two adults cannot get past each other in the room. Most rooms have no windows.
Great for a solo experience- not so for anyone over 45 or couples.
1.0 / 10.0
Well, where to begin. we knew it would be a small room, but its literally so small 2 persons can hardly stand up same time. But thats not the main issue. the bed itself was clean, but the matress is so hard you feel like laying on a brick, the side facing the floor, has a tilt so you feel you fall out, now to the worst part of this trip! THERE WAS MOLD EVERYWHERE in the bathroom! Along all the edges, the button to flush fell down, and i saw that was FILLED with mold aswell. added some pictures. We lived in mold filled for 3 nights, "we spent the money so we only slept and then straight out" Its a health hazard and should not be alowed to be open with mold. oh yeah AND THERE WAS NO TOILET BRUSH?! What hotel has no toilet brush?! no trashcan inside the room, we had to use the small toilet one, and asked where we could get it changed, the desk guy had no idea, sounded like he never got asked that before.
overall, i would never recommend this to anyone, knowing it was a cheaper one, this was still unacceptable. even hostels are better than this. the room was falling apart, one spot lamp was also half out. 0/10 would never come again, booked it knowing it was a smaller and cheaper, but this stuff? God no! we picked it cause of the location. Truely a dissapointing stay.

Small, but ok for solo traveller
Big luggage not preferred due to long stair
1.0 / 10.0
If you was a solo traveller and not a couple needing more than one bag room of space, then great but for us the pictures don’t make it a true representation of the hat you get, shower and bed wasn’t big enough for two people really especially to be comfortable.

Room was small, but what we expected. We weren't planning on spending much time in the room anyways. Had an amazing view of the castle. Staff were accommodating with check in and helped bring our bags up the stairs.
1.0 / 10.0
The hotel has a large flight of steps to enter no lift so have to carry luggage up these precarious steps. The room ( double???) was more like a cupboard. The bed was the smallest double actually it was more like a single and no room around it pushed right up against 3 walls . No chair well there was no room . The shower about 2 feet round in diameter. The view was fantastic of the castle and the staff were lovely but it was the most uncomfortable hotel I have ever stayed in and I’ve visited over 100 countries. The cost was unjustified. Yes good location but surrounded by homeless addicts

So the room and shower room was very small. Very small in the sence very small. And the price is high for it.
But the view is amazing. And privacy wise as it has got 4 big windows is very bad!
8.0 / 10.0
The staff were helpful and considerate, and did a great job. The room was basic, and while that’s reflected in the price, and the bed was comfortable enough, the quality of the facilities could and should be better. Fine if you don’t need anything but a place to sleep though.

Immediately started getting whats up scams after filling out their paperwork on check in.
Offered to store our bags but they did not have change to pay in cash. Seemed offended when we wanted to pay card instead.
Rooms are small but we knew that, good for a night just be careful with what they do with your info

Smallest room I ever stayed in.
6.0 / 10.0
I liked that the staff were very friendly and helpful and that I was able to store luggage before and after my stay for a small cost. I also appreciated the humble nature of the room and how cozy it felt. However, we were led to believe there would be soap and shampoo and there was only hand soap, also the TV didn’t work so we had nothing to do when in the room.
8.0 / 10.0
Although we had no idea what to expect with the compact room layout (it was a total surprise!), the room was clean. Staff were very helpful. The walk up to our room (no elevator) was difficult after a long day of sightseeing. Glad our room was on the first floor!
We will definitely stay at an EasyHotel again.

Ok for solo traveller but too small for a couple
2.0 / 10.0
Whoever designed this room must have been born in a sardine can, it was 7 FEET BY 10 FEET TOTAL!!!!!!!
I'd say this room bordered upon being unsafe in the event of an emergency

Fantastic location, rooms on the smaller side but that was expected, walking distance to everything.

I'll break this down into the good and bad:
Good:
Our stay at easyHotel Edinburgh was perfect for our needs for this trip. We got off the train from London to Edinburgh and the hotel was a mere 15 mins. walk from the station. If you can't walk from the station, or you're going to or from the airport, there are trams & busses galore stopping just minutes from the hotel door. The place is tidy, clean, and presentable, with lovely desk staff that were friendly to deal with. For our few days in the city, it was a great layover to rest our heads at night and the view from our room of the castle and city was phenomenal (YMMV here depending on room). The beds were decently comfortable, although they are coil spring and not memory foam or a thick cushion top. Everything functioned save for 1 light bulb over the bed that was really inconsequential. We were in the city specifically to take in Fringe and some of the major historical attractions for only a few nights. And this where we transition to the bad;
Bad:
This room is SMALLLL. I mean like you could just barely walk past the bed, and you were using the toilet with your feet in the shower pan (1 unit shower/toilet almost like would be in a small mobile home/camper van). The doors didn't even open fully due to the size constraints. We're a fit, tall couple travelling with only 1 suitcase and couple small personal bags. A larger person(s) or even a couple travelling heavy, this room is NOT gonna be for you.
4 stars for us, YMMV.

I had a very small room, but perfectly adequate. Very clean. Comfy bed, telly, shower, mirrors, and coat hooks. Tea and coffee machine was available in the reception. The staff were so lovely and helpful. Would go again and definately recommend.

I know the room booked was described as small but i didnt expect it to be so small. The bedroom "area was literally the size of the bed with not even a single inch on any side or either end. You could crawl onto the bed using the bottom 2ft on one side. The shower/toilet combo was dropped in one side and was as small as those found in Japan. Finally, the rooms and reception are upstairs. And noise from other rooms could be heard throught the night. Probably 2-3 times the price this room should have been priced at merely because of the Fringe Festival.

Room far to small had to walk sideways around the bed to get to the bathroom and I am not large
10.0 / 10.0
Its ok if you are on a budget. Not very confortable.
2.0 / 10.0
On the plus side the hotel is handy for things to do in central Edinburgh and was clean enough, I booked it a year ago as we were going to the tattoo and even then it was the cheapest I could get at £172 for a room,I knew it had no window but didn’t realise how small and basic it would be,
The double bed was tiny and we had to climb over each other to get into and out of bed as it fits wall to wall with no space either end, the room is so small one of us had to sit on the bed while the other dressed, there is no room for 2 people to move about and the shower / toilet area is very small
The bed and pillows were really hard and uncomfortable and neither of us had a good sleep,
If it was cheaper and you only need one night it might be ok but any longer would be too claustrophobic,
I wouldn’t book it again as I’d rather pay the extra for a more comfortable stay,

Basic hotel within walking distance to everything and transport options. Rooms are very compact which I knew in advance. No lift so come light. The lady at check-in was super friendly and got me room at 11am for £10 extra. I dont spend much time in the room so suited me just fine. Would definitely stay again.

We knew room was small but did not appreciate the difficulties this would cause. Bed was clesn and well made but seemed to be on a slight slant which made it uncomfortable. Staff were very friendly and keen to help.changed temperature of room for comfort seversl times. Hotel sits in a good position right on Princess St.

Bit to cramped. When booking should be told measurements of rooms

Comfortable in spite of small size
